Re: Just a white picture as result

I'm seeing the same thing with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 (Internal in a Lenovo V570 laptop)

Turning off "Fast Editor" fixes it.

Re: APG 4.0b2 ... still dark after start [SOLVED]

Fired up 4.0b2 on a VMware virtual machine today and I'm seeing the same thing both when using the Vmware console and when RDP'ed in. Never had problems with earlier versions in the same environment. Win 7 SP1 x64 (And before anyone asks why I'm using Vmware, It's because I can create a 16 core, 200...

2.5 Gigapixel Santa Cruz Beach/Boardwalk

When looking for locations for taking Gigapixels I've always tried to look for a good combination of size and 'interestingness'. I think with this one I've managed to succeed! ~260 photos, Canon 40D with Canon 100-400L, most at 400mm with a few water/sky shots 150mm. I also included a few additional...

Is it possible to make a gigapixel panorama with 400mm and then add the sky which was shot with (lets say) 50mm? And load that whole thing into autopano? I don't see how this would work, especially if you're using the gigapan importer or an xml-File... This is one of the things I've always loved ab...

I'm having the same problem, and can even reproduce it with 3 files. With 2 images (one at 400mm, the other at 135mm) it works fine, and bases the resolution on the 400mm image as expected. However adding a 3rd image (400mm) causes it to use the 135mm image as the base, and down-scales the other 2 ...

Timbertown! Wauchope! It's probably been 25 years since I last rode on that very train - you're making me feel old :) In my experience APP/APG is fully automatic the vast majority of the time. For smaller panos (keeping in my my definition of "smaller" is anything less than about 500 MP!), and/or th...

Incorrect time range over Midnight

Cosmetic bug, but... I'm creating a pano including photos starting on April 17 at 22:41, and ending on April 18 at 00:04 (12:04am) The time range shown against the Group is "1 Day, 1 Hour", where the range is actually only 85 minutes. Sample files available here (Ignore the red circles, they were fo...

The problem is I use Zoomify to create my panorama. This is a free software using BMP and JPEG. Do you know a free product using PSB to create a zoomable view? Zoomify handles PSB files file as long as you have Photoshop installed on the system you're running it on. It's been that way for at least ...

According to the wiki, one of the new features in APP 1.3.1 A1 is : Merge Panoramas. Select any number of panorama, merge them. If they have common pictures, everything will be placed according to previous optimization of individual panorama. So cool for big panoramas. But how? I can't see any optio...

A more thoughtful comment would be that I was impressed by such a respectable and important newspaper being interested in panorama photography (in France, I hardly imagine Le Figaro or Le Monde being interested...) Don't know about the French, but my Sydney pano was picked up by a number of news ag...

I was so tempted to actually put a "Waldo" in there somewhere and see how long it took people to find him.

Maybe the next one... :)

Gigapixel Chicago

Well I wasn't going to post any more of my gigapixel shots here, but after this one got a mention on the Chicago Tribune website (unfortunately without APP being mentioned by name - despite me mentioning it in the interview!) I felt I had to. http://www.docbert.org/ChicagoByNight/CBN-small.jpg (Clic...

This should be possible in 1.3.1 - although it will be fairly manual.

One of the new features listed is "Alpha in input files", which means you'll be able to go in and "alpha channel" out the people/cars/etc, then just merge/blend them with Autopano.

Seems like you got some heavy load on that webspace of yours. Cant wait to see it. ;) digg.com will do that - it's currently serving almost 10 Gb of data per hour, at a rate of almost 200 requests per second. I've made a few changes to the web server software so that it should be running a little b...

Machu Picchu at 1500 megapixels

Well I finally broke the gigapixel mark - a bit over 400 shots from a Canon 10D and the end result is a fairly impressive 1.5 gigapixel shot of Machu Picchu in Peru. There's at least one section that still needs some work (in the lower left hand corner), but for the most part I'm very happy with the...
