shutterdrone: Some very nice improvements you did! Unfortunately I am very busy with other projects at the moment so you can continue to handle the modified version and I might merge in your version in the future.
I have problem with dark/light layers in my panoramas. Normally is it not too bad as in the second OK panorama. There was an stitching error in this panorama (the church to the right) so I opened the editor and corrected it and wanted to just re-render it. But now the dark/light layers is very visib...
I have been occupied with other projects for a while and have not had time this visit the forum but I think this is a great project. Have anyone also thought about replacing the motors and/or gearbox to improve th speed or is that not possible?
Yes, your where correct. It is strange that the automated driver checked on nvidia's webpage said I hade the latest version when I clearly didn't. I searched for it manually and upgraded and now it says this in both 2.0.9 and 2.5: OGL Version: 3.3.0 Render: GeForce 8800 GTS/PCI/SSE2 Vendor: NVIDIA C...
The Edit panorama window hangs completely when I do something that changes the output ( e.g. setting central point, moving the panorama, re-optimize CP etc.) For re-optimize CP can I see on the progress bar that it finish and should just redraw the preview when it hangs. Disabling GPU it works fine ...
odyssey, it would be a very interesting comparison to see if autopano could fix the vignetting. Can you say something more about the focusing and DOF. Could you not use the focus indicator in the view finder to find focus or is it not good enough? And wasn't everything on infinity when you do a pano...
I searched for mirror lens on gigapan.org and wound a few. Most of them looks good but for example this looks quite bad http://gigapan.org/gigapans/3645/
Has anyone tried to use a mirror lens for giga pixel panoramas? As I see it is the negative side not a big problem and the positive side are very good. Negative [uli]Donut shaped bokeh, but for panoramas is everything in focus so this should not be a problem.[/uli] [uli]No auto focus, auto focus is ...
Yes, very impressive. And I guess they have one advantage, you can take as mush time as you need with when you use a flash instead of relying on the sun.
I tried to do a workaround instead and made a small application with uses the same algorithm as my Merlin controller and that way creates the XML file. But that fails as well, again the preview looks ok but the final image are all wrong. Can any one take a look at the XML file and tell me if anythin...
I have a Merlin/Orion head but I use a custom made mount-controller and not papywizard so I have used the gigapan import instead of papywizard import because I can't make the xml file. I have now seen twice that the gigapan import fails (and worked perfectly twice). The preview in the import window ...
I guess the retro look was a little bit accidental, but I like how it ended up :) The project was suprisingly easy to implement. But in reality is it just down to three parts. 1. A display and others have already done nice libs for this. 2. Buttons, I used a shift register to shift it in but that is...
Yes, I know. A designed PCB with both the Arduino and the rest of the electronics plus smaller buttons or a toutch screen would make it a lot smaller. But now I know that it is possible to get it to work and I can start to take shots with it.
The build is now finished! It is raing outside so I can't go out and test it just jet :( but I will as soonas it stops. I will write a full description and release the code etc. but here is two photos of it to start with. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2628/3822749913_5b29ac9361.jpg http://farm4.sta...
