speeding up Merlin without using fix preset possible?

Hi, first of all: I don`t want to use fixed presets for my panos because they all are too different. My Merlin works fine with PW on Nokia n800 but with long focal lenght, the movement is quite slow. In my oppinion, there would be space for improvements. I shoot row by row and the rotation is quite ...

yes, I have an Intel Mac and VMWare but this way is not what I prefer. Windows is the very last way to go for me. I hate it! :-)

I deleted all files which had any realtion to PW including the log-file, but I gave the xml-file a new name without any "umlaut" like Paul said and this worked! Many thanks!!!! But the hidden file, where PW saved the settings was not found by me. After deleting PW an downloading a "fresh" one, the s...

if I install PW on my Mac, whitch folders will be installed?
I deleted the .app file and downloaded the "new" one. When I open it my old settings are present. I expected factory defaults. So there must be a file who was not deleted, but who is it? I`d like to delete it.

please help!!

o.k, you have a stereo-cable between the Merlin an your cam. But you only need contacts of the plug - the tip contakt ist the hot one an the outer is the ground. Normaly the middle one is spare and not used, so it is for the focus when you use a cable remote. But the Merlin makes a short circuit bet...

Hi, I measured at my Merlin that the grounded and den middle contakt are connencted together because of the hull oft the ground contact in the female plug. It is long enough to contact both. There is a third spare connection on the female plug but this is a opener-contact. It seperates between the t...

now I disassabmled the head and I found a stereo-female-connector in it but only 2 pins are connected. In my opinion the inner contact of the male-connector ist contacted with the red cable an the middle and outer ring are short and connected to the black cable. It`s the same as I push the button ha...

the problem has to be on the Merlin`s side. If I change the stereo-plug on the side of Merlin into the hand-control there is no problem. I found an other problem - maybe it hase the same reason: If I choose "mirror-release" bevore shooting in PW, there is only one trigger signal - that one for the m...

no EOS cam-menu and replay function when cable-connected with Merlin

Hi, yesterday I tested my first bluetooth-connected-Merlin-to-MacBook-configuration with my EOS 40D. There was no problem with shooting as PW told the head. But one conspicuousness I found: I connected my cam with a "Hà¤hnel HRC 280" module http://www.amazon.de/Haehnel-Kabel-Fernausl%C3%B6ser-Canon-...

2 questions: 1. is it possible to post a step-by-step instruction what to do to let PW and EOS Utility work together (I work on an Mac, not on a PC) 2. I saw at the linked screenshots you work with version 1.x. Does ist work with 2.1.5 too because I have to use this to connect my MacBook via bluetoo...

so is there any other possibility to connect the Merlin with my MacBook? What about a cable with LAN-plug on the one and a smaller telephone plug on the other side? Has it be a special point-to-point wiring or can I use an ordinary one from the electronic market? Or what about USB? For testing and l...

so, I see that is no possibility to choose something to connect. But PW connects something, but there ist no real movement on the head when I use the arrows. The bluetooth-module flashes at the same speed as it is in disconnection-mode.

sorry, I have to check the pref`s.......
