Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

That´s not a good result in terms of colors, yes. But judging the tone-values it´s very good editable colorwise. It´s not too dark in the left part (as the others) and not too washed-out in the right part. Agreed, with additional post-processing you can do something correct with that pano. But i th...

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

In my opinion, if a subject is worth capturing, then its worth spending a little time setting the WB in order to capture the photos correctly in order to give the software a fighting chance to stitch correctly. I think in all honestly, rather than spend time with images that have not been captured ...

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

I continue my quest... Here is the result with ArcSoft Panorama Maker v6, trial version, full auto: Panorama Maker 6.jpg Quite good. However there is this yellow cast in the sky of the 2nd and 4th image. The picture is very similar to the one produced by Photomerge, with a little less yellow, and th...

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

Meanwhile, as it seems my 5 images are a challenge and a benchmark for stitching programs, I have downloaded the trial version of Panorama Factory 2.6.5. Note: I have uploaded the 5 images on my Orange cloud account. If Kolor or others want to have them to test, send me a private message with an e-...

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

I fully agree! Seeing Martin´s result shows well equalized tone-values, no whashed-out parts. That´s how it needs to be. Klaus I am afraid I do not agree... Look closely at martin's result, and you will see that the left half of the pano he obtained is awfully yellow tainted, and that yellow taint ...

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

I had a try with APG 3.7 using screen-scrapes of your 5 screenshots as attached with just a couple of minutes work I was able to get something resembling the PS Elements output you posted - although as you say the PS version was just using defaults which is impressive. Martin Thanks a lot Martin fo...

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

My best result with APG 2.6 after editing colour anchors. I just made a try with the Photomerge utility in PSE 13, fully automatic, it even automatically fills the white spaces left by the geometric corrections around the pictures. It's not perfect, but it's much much better than what I obtained wi...

Always with my EOS 5Dmk3, and I get excellent results with Photomatix, which is excellent at aligning the pictures.

I have less success with my Powershot S120, because the bracketing is too slow.

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

There's a big difference in exposure between images 2 and 3 - look at the area with the gate, not to mention the sky. I agree there is a significant difference on the doors, but I would expect APG to make the appropriate blending. Regarding the skies, the difference is quite minor. But if you have ...

Re: Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

Hello Olivier, Also if you disable color correction and put multiband level to "0", that should be homogeneous. And as Destiny said, you will get better results if you shoot in Manual mode. Olivier Hey, guys, my 5 pictures pano is extremely basic and all 5 pictures are quite properly expo...

Chat-4080-5d3-s.jpg Chat-4081-5d3-s.jpg A remark about your advises, which I perfectly know: the main reason why I bought APG, since version 1.5, is that it was extremely tolerant with exposures and was able to stich about anything and produce decent results. I would appreciate that APG keeps that ...

Correct, but I have always done that without problems. The exposure difference between the pictures is not that huge, and I do not understand why apg completely burns the right side images.

Serious problem with sky stitching with apg 3.7

Hi, I recently upgraded to apg 3.7 and have serious difficulties with skies which didn't use to cause such proplems. Here is an example: Result of Autodetection: Detect.jpg Final result: Pano.jpg When comparing the autodetection with the source images, especially the right end ones, and when seeing ...

A good way to remove vignetting is to calibrate the couple camera/lens with "Adobe Lens Profile Creator". Once that is done, you can use the profile in OpenLens plugin in APG or directly in photoshop to pre-process images. Alexandre, don't you think making APG more resistent to vignetting (i.e. mit...

After intensive testing with PTLENS to reduce the vignetting of my pictures, which is actually much harder than I thought because all the pictures don't have exactly the same vignetting pattern, here are the results: - Picture 1 is HRD processing & tone mapping in Photomatix, then final stitch in AP...

Look at the example below, only with the single shot at EV0. Nice Job, but what I didn't tell is that I also post-process in Photoshop the outputs of Photomatix, in particular to improve the contrast. The panos I posted are without any post-processing, so the final result would also be much better ...

Grey bands come from vignetting which is not corrected into APG. You can use softwares like camera raw for correcting it. Ok, that might be the root problem, tonight I will remove the vignetting with PTLENS, re-do the panos with APG and Photomatix+APG, and post the results. But, anyway, if this is ...

Hi Olivier I think, version 3) have the most naturally look, near the single exposed version at +/-0EV - isn't it ? I don't agree, I prefer picture 4, by far, there is much more information in it, and the "hdr look" makes it look like a paint, not a picture. Btw. in this case, hdr isn't really nece...

Hi Olivier Looks something like vignetting. Small bandings between every image. Most because the lens was used with open aperture. Mmmm, the pictures are taken at 105 mm with apertures between f/7.1 and f/10, there is very little vignetting in these conditions. But, I agree there can be some. I'll ...

With or without color correction, photomatix preview is different but tone mapped outputs are less differents. In the two process, pictures will not have the same HDR values and it can influence the dynamic, the cutting, the HDR ghost algorithm and multiband blending. It's hard to say where will be...
