If I have a panorama with some very bad connections, I usually remove these bad stitching nodes, if they are not needed. After that, i re-optimize the panorama and all is well. If you do so in APP 2.5 beta, something interesting will happen. See the screenshots. BTW, if you do not re-optimize and st...
I have similar problem, yet it seems to be caused bu GPU processing set to on. No problem so far when switched off. Interestingly it wasnt problem when I installed, it started some days ago. The only program I installed which may be cause of this behavior is microsoft visual C++. My specs are: win7...
I have a pano that no pano program I tested so far was able to stitch without massive errors. A room with a white ceiling with white stucco on it, a dark brown parquet floor and white walls with large areas with very little contrast. Those programs failed: Panorama Factory 5.3, Microsoft ICE, Autopa...
Could you share the step by step instruction on how to reproduce this crash ? (Seems to be a real bug for me ). I´ll try my very best. First, it´s not easy to tell if the photo files itself may contain any information which is causing trouble. I tried: - NEF taken with a Nikon D700 and a Nikon D2...
Hi I´ve got a strange "freezing problem" using APP 2.06, 2.09 and the new Beta. Strange because all was working fine until I had to re-install my system after a system disk error. My specs: Win 7 64 bit, 8 GB/GO RAM, APP 2.0x 64 Bit (I tried different versions with complete uninstalls) When I chose...
Hi, is there any comparison in rendering speed between using CPU power and GPU? I´m working with Win 7 64 Bit, using an AMD Phenom II Quad-Core CPU (3GHz), 8 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 285 GPU. Is there any experience that says "your GPU renders images X times faster (or maybe slower) than your CPU"?...
These four werde made during a cruise to the antarctic islands. I would like to add - if I may - my latest website with 50 panoramas of a derelict hospital complex: http://www.beelitz360.de It´s all in german, but if you click on "Panoramen" in the menu on top, you´ll get to a page showing thumbnails of the panoramas. By clicking on one of the thumbs, the big ...
Thank you all. Meanwhile, I have reduced the FOV in all of my panos from 120 degrees to 90 degres. I´m still experimenting to get the best FOV but I think, 90 degrees are quite ok. If you like some more infos about the cathedral, please refer to: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cath%C3%A9drale_Sainte-...
Hello, this is my latest project. The St-Hedwig Cathedral in Berlin. It took me a lot of patience to shoot all the fotos witout having one or more tourists on it, but after some 60 minutes, alle pictures were taken :-) The floor towards the nadir is a bit crappy, but I made a mistake during the shot...
Thanks to all! UK Pano: Yes, the two panos shown above are HDR Panos. In the dome, I tried to keep the tonemapping as subtle as possible to keep a "natural" look. I think it´s time for some more panos. First is the butchery/boucherie/charcouterie of the abandonned hospital which shows some of the o...
Salut, mon francais est trop mal pour répondre en francais, mais j´ai compris les plus mots et mon anglais est bien meilleur... So, welcome to the forum. For a first try, the panorama is not bad at all. But as you wrote, you are not using a panoramic head (tete de panoramique) an this is why you ge...
Thank you. I will do some more panos of the hospital in future. I just have do ask the owner for permission to access the area again and hope he will open some of the closed and locked buildings for me.
Hello, these are two of my first projects I finished using AutoPano Pro 2.0. I´ve been using another stitching software for a while which delivered very good results when doing single-row panos but I never was satisfied with multi-row panos. So I tried AutoPano 64 Bit two weeks ago and bought it th...
