Re: Virtual tour workflow tips

No - you´re doing right i mean. It´s a better way doing sharpening in the RAW processing. Sharpening after stitching means that you might also sharpen hardly visible artefacts caused by stitching and make them more visible. This way you might amplify "glitter"-effects in panning the pano....

Re: Virtual tour workflow tips

Pretty much my workflow. #4 I would also add in a sharpening step of the image. Key part I see is at the capture stage when shooting as this I feel determines your quality going forward through into the above workflow.

Re: Raw or jpg ?

For stitching, don't use RAW. look to use JPG or TIFF. RAW is like a digital negative where it gives you the ability to process the images in photoshop or lightroom as you similiarly would have processed film negatives in a dark room or processing lab. It contains all of the image data taken at shoo...

Re: From raw pano to final editing in Lightroom, best workfl

export RAW to TIFF to stitch in APG > Stitch in APG and export as TIFF again > import stitched TIFF into LR for tweaks > export from LR to final JPG

Re: Generated by Panatour

Interesting gallery The opening pano has the below on the floor which lets it down. Would not take much to clone out or mask these shadows. Same applies to the nadir's of the other tours - would no take much to clone/mask out the tripod head or restrict the downward view given there is not a nadir c...

Re: How to hide the monopod?

1) Some people put their logos in 360 videos on the floor, in order to hide the monopod. How do I do that? http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Panotour_Pro_-_Panorama_Properties_-_Pictures 2) Other people put a stop or break so you can't move down with the mouse and see the floor (where ther...

Re: My fisrt commerial VT for a Dentist Center

Congratulations! Always a good feeling when you commission your first tour. Agree on the pano on their website - wrong viewing ratio for the tour. Couple of observations to consider for developing the tours further. On the opening shot you can see your shadow on the floor. Can this not be masked out...

Also not worked out how to use the "view unread posts since last visit" ability that was in the past forum - any ideas?

Amazing scenary Aaron and superbly blended together. Both tours look great on this 24" panel! Second one also gets my vote

The nav bar and buttons, I'm assuming those are custom and not "out of the box" from PTP2.0?

Amazing and breathtaking scenery! Each year I say that I want to go to the conference but commitment prohibit it. Missed out on New York (much to the wife's dismay - "you go play whilst I go shopping" comes back to me!) and Iceland, wow! Missed some amazing places. Enjoying the tour very much!

Not an expert (and others will kindly advise me on this!) but perhaps it could be acheived through HTML linking the static image to a SWF window that is the same size and location as the static pic?

I think Klaus is referring to the prominent curve of the opening tour - hence "world is round". i would also look to improve this by masking out the tripod shadow either via an alpha channel mask in photoshop or APGs own masking tool.

I started using PTGUI but quickly found it difficult to use as a starter. Then found Kolor and APP/APG and have continued to use it since. As to whether it is the best stitching program, who knows. Personally I think it comes down to individual preferences. Personally I like the automation, batch pr...

Being a small town, talk to the agents to see if there is an interest from them for this medium in their business. That way, takes the guess out of whether there is a demand for the real estate. I tried it here in the UK with my local agents and (ridiculously we have 9 different companies running in...

ditto with Hans

Rather than a large nadir patch, perhaps an alternative is a discreet string of text overlaid on the bottom cube face if you still want to include your name in the pano itself.
