Re: AVP CRASHING WHEN STITCHING.

Hi Michel

OK. You mentioned a ‘card’ set at 78gb, can you send me a Dropbox link to david at panoramic - imaging dot com

If that’s a problem due to file size, let me have your email and I’ll set up an FTP account for you to upload to a server.

Best regards David.

Re: AVP CRASHING WHEN STITCHING.

Hi Michel It might be useful to share a set of standard files to do some comparative benchmarking / testing with. Would you volunteer one of your problematic 10 minute clips..? Just think it might be useful to test on same file set. I use Dropbox if that helps. Or I can shoot a sequence and share it...

Re: AVP CRASHING WHEN STITCHING.

Hi Michel Not a solution for you I'm afraid, but I do see a possibly related issue. Essentially my desktop PC runs with an EVGA 980ti and has trouble running CUDA preview on AVP 3.0rc3 (and previous v3.0 releases...), I just get a blank preview window and frozen timeline. My Alienware laptop runs an...

Re: AVP 3.0

Hi Dave

I see the same error/info box pop up, I think its meant to say 'APG v4.2 and over' as in my experience it seems to work fine with the current release v4.4.1, I just acknowledge it and carry on.

Best regards
David W.

Re: GoPro Stitching [SOLVED]

Hi Alex I'm not 100% sure about this as I've not tried it, but you can download the full version of AutoPano Video to test your rig output, the trial version will add a watermark to the rendered output. But if you get that far you'll at least know for sure that it works... ;-) BTW, I'd suggest posti...

Re: Grey area in the pano

Looks to me like AP has mistakenly placed a sky image in the wrong place as it didn't find any stitch points, then its blended the overlayed sky image with Pano when it rendered it out... You can see if this is the case by switching into 'images mode' in the Control Points Editor' then identify each...

Re: CUDA on Windows 10

And one more comment... Just tried the approved OMNI sample from here:

http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... ow#Samples

And its same result, no Preview when using CUDA.

I'd really appreciate a comment from Kolor.

Re: CUDA on Windows 10

Another update... I shot a range of OMNI clips to test, various frame sizes and frame rates. Initially same problem, no Preview displayed. So I pressed the 'Display Camera Numbers' button, they appeared, but no Preview, then I tried ' Display Grid', the grid displayed, but no preview. CUDA Preview.J...

An update of sorts... Issue is the same on v3.0 RC3, and with latest Nvidia driver 385.41.

Re: Autopano 3.0 is SLOWER than 2.5 or 2.6 [SOLVED]

Hi I think you need to try with the 'Rendering Engine' in the General Tab of Settings to 'GPGPU', this then uses Nvidia CUDA processing, this is whats delivering the suggested speed increase, it should work fine on your 965M (which has 944 CUDA cores), but is influenced by the number of CUDA cores a...

Re: AVP 3.0 Output video is scrambled on all but h264 - Cuda

Hi Filmman I've had similar issues with CUDA on a GTX980ti, same driver, more details on this thread: http://www.kolor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=124&t=36545 I don't get any output at all, just black frames. On my laptop (using same driver and 980M) same project is fine... Can I ask whether you '...

Re: Nikon KeyMission????

Hi Destiny I purchased the Keymission 360 on release in the UK, so about 6 months ago I think, together with the Nikon approved accessories, all on pre order for several months. I shoot with Nikon DSLRs for stills so trusted that Nikon would deliver with the Keymission, big mistake. I had big troubl...

Re: CUDA on Windows 10

Hi Ryan Thanks for sharing this. I thought your suggestion was reasonable, its been concerning me that all the Nvidia updates seem to be games related, and the odds high that something else gets broken while they're doing it... So I downgraded to 378.92 and did a 'clean install', rebooted, and no lu...

Hi

Thanks and yes, it will be interesting to hear how you get on with the 980ti and that older driver.

Best of luck.

CUDA on Windows 10

On my desktop PC I'm not able to see a 'Realtime Preview' when set to GPGPU in the Settings>General tab 'Rendering Engine': GPGPU.PNG And any attempt to render outputs black frames. Input files are from an OMNI rig with the GoPros at 2.7k. (2704x2032 pixels) When I change to GLSL (OpenGL) I get the ...

Re: Gigapixel Horizon Problem

Hi Klaus

Thanks again for your assistance. I've tried just a few verticals (5), and many (30), they're just not working with this image. I agree with you, they usually work perfectly. I'll let you know if I get a result.

Thanks
David.

Re: Gigapixel Horizon Problem

Hi Klaus Thanks for your response. I've tried that approach and it usually works for me too, I find it less accurate on larger projects, for some reason on this project the result is minimal change in the curves of the horizon (the result is not perceptibly different): http://samples.panoramic-imagi...

Gigapixel Horizon Problem

Hi All I am working with a set of 900+ images shot 51 floors up a tower in London (Shot on Seitz VRDrive 2). It was from the roof, but the building has a comms mast that prevents an unbroken single 360 view. I now have a stitch, but cannot level the horizon... My approach has been to shoot from 4 lo...

Hi Guys Thanks for your comments. I've rolled back to version 301.42 of the NVIDIA drivers... Now APG 2.6.4 and 3.0b1 are happy, I can see the GPU generated reference image and see the GPU working when loading images and viewing the preview screen. So if this is an issue on the GTX260 too, maybe NVI...

NVIDIA GPU support for APG

Hi During testing APG 3.0 Beta1, I've noticed a GPU issue. I'm using an NVIDIA EVGA GTX 670 Video Card with the latest 306.23 NVIDIA Drivers on 64bit Windows. Looking at Settings > General > GPU Processing within APG I see the Reference Picture, but not the OpenGL version of the image. I've just che...
