GoPro to cut 270 jobs - Kolor affected?

i noticed last year already that autopanos development seems to have come to an halt.
all that is worked on seems to be video apps.

i wonder if gopro cutting jobs will affect kolor too.

Re: Crop + Autofill option

This is the same as my request a few threads below ( http://www.kolor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=31976 ) ... but don't get your hopes up, none of the devs seem to read this forum. And they seem to have stopped improving simple image stitching with AutoPano in favor of products only Kolor has...

Re: Read metadata from XMP

i wonder if it makes sense to suggest features or report bugs as kolor obviously has dropped development of autopano. :(

Re: autopano development slowed down since gopro deal?

yes i know... if i did not know i would not have written this: it would be nice when, instead of setting red/green points in the editor to mark objects, we could select an image and paint/ draw a selection around an area that should be used. ;) but the important part in my message is "edit"...

Re: linear stitching/multiple viewponts

since gopro bought autopano it seems the whole focus is on video software. and i bet when/if we will see an update to autopano it´s just so they have to show something. it´s always the same.. once the big money rolls in the companys forget who made them successful. it was not video users who support...

Re: autopano development slowed down since gopro deal?

three month since i asked the question.... and there was not much news for a long time that made me ask that question.
can´t remember when there was such a long period of silence around autopano.

not even bugfixes.

i fear the "google "effect has effectively killed autopano. :(

Re: PTGUI 10 times faster in rendering than Autopano Giga?

i guess he used the latest autopano version so i don´t see how that could explain the speed difference.... It's not just version matters. Video card gives you rapid speed-up. Prevoius configuration was xeon 4 core 3.2GHz, 8Gb RAM and Nvidia FX4800 and APG 2.4.2. New configuration is Dual Xeon 10 cor...

Re: autopano development slowed down since gopro deal?

ah ok.. good to hear that. one thing i wish for v5 is that there is an easyer way to see and edit where exactly the seem between images are. it would be nice when, instead of setting red/green points in the editor to mark objects, we could select an image and paint/ draw a selection around an area t...

Re: The new Website Design SUX

first i have to say i am a longtime user so i don´t need all the info what autopano is or does. so i bookmarked the page where you post all the news (new releases etc). i guess i can find such a page when i search long enough. but i also guess it´s way more cluttered than before. now my critic on th...

The new Website Design SUX

i have to say the new design is a very bad move. it´s not intuitiv. you get way too much advertising and "visual toystuff" in the way of real information. it´s like some first semester in websdesign has pulled all breaks but forgot that a website has to be intuitiv and straight to the poin...

because other companys are able to code nearly perfect working apps for windows.
so windows is not to blame for bad coding or overlooked bugs from third party vendors.

i realy doubt that autopano is more complex then photoshop or has to deal with more complex problems.....
