They seem to work now. Thanks for the quick response.

Download links broken?

I'm trying to download Autopano Giga and I get a "Not Found - The requested URL /apg/stable/x64 was not found on this server." and similar for all of the links.

Re: Adopting an orphan

Ah ha! Even though I've been using AP since v2.x, I'm still learning new things, and re-finding old things. It wasn't until recently that I realized that the Panorama Editor Window remains under the Control Points Editor Window, probably due to the fact that I run APG in maximized mode (I assumed th...

Adopting an orphan

For Autopano Giga 4: I have a couple of seemingly straightforward image sets I'm trying to work with, but APG chokes on them and lists one or more images as orphans. I'd like to manually set up the images, but I see no way to establish links between the orphans and the adjacent images. I can create ...

Re: Panobook 2014

Might I suggest that if an entry is rejected/deleted for an objective reason, that the submitter be informed as to which objective reason it was rejected? Additionally, the saturation issues are not mentioned in the posted rules, nor is there any mention of an aspect ratio limit (that one I understa...

Re: Panobook 2014

Considering the lack of response to my question, it appears that this is not the place to ask questions about the Panobook competition. So, where should I ask? There is no forum topic dedicated to Panobook(s) or the competition, and there is no forum/info at all on the Panobook site. So, where?

Re: Panobook 2014

They say that they received 1677 entries. There are only 1269 entries currently showing. When I log into my account and go to my entries page, it's blank - it says "No entries." That's what I mean about deleting entries.

Panobook 2014

It appears that the first phase of the judging is complete: "The first phase is carried out by Kolor directly, consisting of removing images which do not comply with participation conditions, technical, rules or composition restrictions" All three of my entries are gone. I am curious as to...

APG 3/3.5 - Cache overrules reality

Known problem with APG 3.0x and 3.5Beta, running under Win7-SP1 If I pull files into a group and hit "Detect" to find a pano, then decide to make changes to one or more of the files (and re-save them under the original/same file name), delete the group, create a new group, re-populate it w...

It was a superb day as well. I forgot to mention that, if you zoom in, you can barely make out a number of vicuà±as to the right of the water (at this resolution).

Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, 01 Jan 2003 - Finally!

I shot the original images with a Nikon 8008 and Fuji Velvia film. I have no idea what I was planning to do with them; at that time I had never used any pano software. In fact, I don't know what pano software was even available, if any, back then. Later, when I bought a digital camera and started pl...

Paso Sico too (Laguna Miscanti)!

I was surprised to see Pat Rocher's picture of a salt lake near Paso Sico, since I was in the area in December (just before Christmas) and am currently processing and assembling my photos from that trip. I was in Argentina and Chile for two and a half months, so I have a few pictures to sort through...

Just did a quick Google (+digital +print +canvas) and came up with a number of hits. The most flexible printer (in terms of sizes) seems to be http://www.canvasondemand.com . If you go to their prices page you can select custom sizes of 8-40" wide and 8-72" high (strange orientation but I guess that...

Another use for APP

These aren't the greatest pictures (they weren't the greatest conditions - a week before Christmas, a little hazy and, as usual, hand held - even the night shot) but it shows what APP allows me to do that I couldn't do otherwise without substantially more (and more expensive) equipment. As you can s...

I agree; more sky/clouds would have been nice. I have to force myself to think ahead; I still think in terms of a single row. Also, when you're on the top of the world, your natural tendency is to look down, not up (or out). Still learning.

Time for a first post

I started out with Panorama Factory and I have nothing against it, but Autopano Pro just beats everything hands down. I've been using it for a couple of years now and thought that it was time to post some of my work. This one was done with a Nikon D70 and a Tamron 18-300 lens, no tripod (I carry eno...
