Hi Klaus, Well, I'm not a professional, so this can be an important difference on the two point of view we've. I really understand what you say about sensible images, risk, campaigns, etc. The problem of having only in-house solutions can be a fire, theft on your home/office (where you work). Theref...

Hi Georg, The solution you say is the one I already have (I've a ReadyNAS with 6x1TB X-RAID with dual redundancy), but as told, is an in-house solution. For the monthly cost, today there're cost effective solutions, cheaper than SugarSync or DropBox. Take a look at www.nomadesk.com or www.gladinet.c...

Hi Klaus, I already have an "in-house" solution, I've all my files backed up on a NAS. But I need also something outside of my house. Now I've all my "normal" photos backed up with SugarSync, about 400Gb. No problem at all with this. But SugarSync has no more than 500Gb plan. So I've no space there ...

Cloud backup for large panoramas

Hi,

I'm looking for a great (service/cost) solution for an on-line (cloud) backup for all the big panorama files. As all you, I've lots of very big .psd/.tif/.jpg files to backup.
I'm trying some services like Nomadesk, Gladinet... any recommendation or experience?

Regards,

Guillermo

Guillermo! Sorry to say that: i realize a lot of motion-blur in your images - much likely mirror-shake. I strongly suppose mirror-lock when using a 400mm - and very short exposure times of course. best, Klaus Yes, yes! I now. This is one of the first shots with the TC Controler, on a second try day...

Here I attach 2 different Editor Windows of two different detections for the same .xml import (with different options). You mention some problem with the EXIF & focal length, on one of the screenshots you can see 400 mm (this is ok). But on the other one you can see 382.11, 382.18... why? Regards, G...

Hi Klaus, About the NPP, I didn't check, but I thing is not necessary as I'm about 250/300 mts. from the scene. About the settings on APG v2.5 I attach all 6 settings screens. I've tried with APG v2.09 an two different computers, with default options just installed and I always have and RMS of 3.29....

I don´t think so. But there are some settings in APG 2.5. to get used to … ckeck them carefully!

Any checklist for this settings you say?

By now, I've a RMS for about 3,5. With v2.5 I had about RMS 18.

Hi Klaus,

Thank you for your answer.
I've now installed v2.09 and trying with it. When configuring preferences on 2.09, I've remembered that on v.2.5 I've configured to use GPU, but I didn't use it normally. Can this cause any problem as the ones I've?

Thank you,

Guillermo

New with TC Controller

Hi, I'm using my new TC Controller with Merlin, Autopano Giga 2.5 and Canon EOS with a 400mm lens. Since now I've done many panos with the BT Controller and a Netbook, no problems at all when importing, using Papywizard on AP and then stitching and producing a Photoshop file. But now with the TC Con...

o.k, you have a stereo-cable between the Merlin an your cam. But you only need contacts of the plug - the tip contakt ist the hot one an the outer is the ground. Normaly the middle one is spare and not used, so it is for the focus when you use a cable remote. But the Merlin makes a short circuit be...

Hi, I've the same as you, and also tested with an EOS 50D. I've seen a problem with the batteries of the camera, they go out very fast while trying PW+Merlin+remote-cable. And with an IS lens, I've noticed the IS is ALLWAYS working when the remote cable is connected on both sides (camera and Merlin)...

... Now, I'm working with the EOS Utility and seems to work fine except for that it takes more than 1 min. to take every shoot. It starts mooving to the position, stabilization, and then it shoots the first image about 1:10 min. later. And the same for every image. I've also noticed that on the tas...

PW using EOS Utility Shutter

Hi, I don't know if this is a very elemental question, but I've search the forum adn wiki and I don't found the answer... I would like to use PW with the EOS Utility shutter, not "Merlin-Orion". I've tested it several times with the EOS Utility opened and closed, with the USB cable to the camera, wi...

Is your laptop going into, and recovering/returning/awakening from, a 'sleep' mode before the problem arises? Hi, Yes & no, when I've problems I allways reboot the laptop. I've now uninstaled v.2.9.1 and instaled v2.10.1. The problem is still the same. On the PW logs I see: 2009-06-21 13:24:06,312:...
