Thank you Andrew !
Because of health problems I'm more or less out of pano/multishot work.
Other things on my mind now.

The equipment is 3-4Y old, but unused.
It's the right version of the Merlin and it's a working set.

Hey Jones, nice !
What I miss is the FoV and pixel calculation.
Maybe I don't understand it, but to me it's first do a run with the BT/Nokia/PW module from left corner to right under, then to see how
much rows etc I need, then create a preset......??

Hey Gerry, this was my first thought too, but what if you get a call during shooting.. The cheapest and safest way is to get a Nokia N800 for 100-120 euro from Ebay and run PW 1.6+ and more. Just see the Nokia as a remote control, nothing more or less. This Nokia fits in the bag with your lenses, ra...

Hi Paul
1)Did you replace the 220V plug ? or still using the original #### version.
2) is the light on on the block ?
It should work.
But there are specs on the block and I don't think it's very hard to get a better/other one.

If I knew how to do that..
"Just copy/paste/fill the template, but do not remove it!"
To what ?
Do I have to log in again or make another account ?

A screenshot "how-to, step by step" would help..

The 40D has a N3 pin connector.
With this : http://www.calumetphoto.de/ctl?query=CALCF0061&x=0&y=0&ac.ui.pn=search.Search
+ a 3,5>>2,5 adapter, + the original Merlin cable can trigger the camera.
But there are no Merlins at TA I think.
Good luck !

Canon 450D with an "A-value" of 40mm is perfect
For the Nikon D70/80 you need a less thick rail..

Oké an open translator can be very usefull. I'm just a Canon user and I haven't seen better converters than DPP for Canon RAW files. ACR, Lightroom etc, I don't care, I've seen bizar results.. Canon will not give away their RAW-code so every 3party RAW converter is just a guess, and yes it is.. Same...

Seriously: they`re develloping constantly new RAW-formats so fast that you´ll always have to be up-date to get best results. The quality of RAW-demosaicing is vastly underestimated when it comes to stitching panoramas! best, Klaus That's what I say, a RAW tool in a stitcher can't be that good as a...

I agree with this. NO stitching program should support RAW, it's nonsense. Why not ? as DrSlony stated, it's camera specific. For example the colors from ACR are not the same (understatement) as DPP from Canon. Every 3 month a new camera Nik/Can/Pent/oly whatever is on the market. Let the stitchers ...
