Some people shoot a handheld series in columns, and for good reason. See post #4 by hankkarl here: http://www.autopano.net/forum/p56399-2009-12-20-08-49-05#p56399 I am not arguing but according to the documentation this item is not about row/column shooting but about higher requirement for quality ...

[apg-2.0.6 Gentoo] Kgl Kgl.cpp Invalid Enum

Still no joy on 2.01 here -- it might be a bit better but still filenames and some menu items will overwrite or be invisible. Status in bottom right corner is also unreadable due to font problem. All fonts are ugly, but I could deal with that, it's the unreadable part that blocks the upgrade. Thumb...

One note. The internal project on this part has made good advances. We now have 4 kinds of CP and 2 type of descriptors. CP types : 2 of them are edges aware meaning they will locate themself on edges first. 2 others are blob aware like SIFT : they locate themself on uniform area. We now study how ...

I do not know what autopano really does but I would try to convert internally to grayscale images, down-rasterize their resolution so that only differences in light/color intensities would show up. This could be used to delineate regions which are distinct from their surroundings. A pattern of such ...

Documentation enhancement: Control_Points_Editor#Options

At http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Control_Points_Editor#Options I read: Optimizer stages * 1) Local approach: this is a very fast algorithm that allow for a local pre-location of the images. * 2) First optimization: this is the main optimizer, taking all links into account in a global w...

So why isn't there already a way to modify the commandline for dcraw? It can't be that difficult. ;-)

3) Also, a ruler bar would have been helpful to get an idea to what position I would like to move a single image by yaw/fov/rol, etc. values. Especially in conjunction with 1). Did you know you can enter Y/P/R values directly in the image data table in Move mode by double-clicking on the values in ...

You have to have the CP Editor selected to do this, it doesn't work in other modes IIRC. Which is what is said: "If you are unable to add CPs between unlinked images using the CP Editor then use the Move images mode to position the image, then switch to CP Editor mode and right-click on the image t...

medaivets: the problem is the linux version of 1.4.2 is somehow different. I cannot make it react to the right-click to get the scrollbar as in your screen shot allowing me to set hard links between images. :( You have to have the CP Editor selected to do this, it doesn't work in other modes IIRC. ...

mediavets: Thank you for the tip, I have grid lines turned on (guess it is default) but I don't see the angular values. Argh. I see, I have to switch from "pixels" to "degrees. If I would have seen the pixel distances at least (is that a BUG?) then I would have maybe thought one can get also the val...

CPE: allow to add a link to an image

In control point editor one can add control points but how can one add a link to an image which is not linked to a particular image? I can do this in hugin. ;-) Imagine, APP cannot assemble large panorama between two images somewhere in the panorama had too short overlap. Thus, APP created two panor...
