Very nice pano! September has been a real crappy moth up here in North Norway. We have set a new record - september has been the rainiest month in over a 100 years! And now we are having snowfall earlier than normal, my "fall photohunt" is in danger of being killed by King Winther :-( I will enjoy y...

Recording Audio, use of sound interface

I have been impressed with many of the 360 panoramas with audio. I have been looking around to see if I can find a set-up to record sound with. I came across this solution on the Zacuto homepage (US). It can be mounted on the camera with some extras. Anyone have any experience with this kind of hard...

Create pan and zoom with Seadragon

Hi all, I just discovered this new update of Microsoft Seadragon. I just pasted in a url and it created a pan and zoom interface for me. I just grabbed one from my flickr farm. Here is my first attempt http://seadragon.com/view/3cc I thought the sliverlight ui for the Yosemite 17 GPix was better. ht...

Very nice work! It would be very nice if the tour started zoomed in on a particular spot or landmark, and then zooms out so you can see the larger panorama? Perhaps that would give an ever bigger wow for the firsttime users of 360 and gigapans? I had no problems loading, I thought it was rather "sna...

I have found both version to be unstable. My experience is that the 32 bit version is a little bit more stable, but it is still crashing. It is especially touchy it I edit one 360x180 (7 to 8 images) while rendering in the background. Is there a place to publish crash reports other than this forum?

@smth I am so with you on the documentation bit. I am in awe by what some of the members in this forum dig up. This summer I started taking 360x180 panoramas, and I have found the forum my number one source for help. Deep bows and loud "hipp hipp hurra"s to mediavets, gurl, drslony, and digipano jus...

I would be surprised if Kolor made a lot of money of this project, I just hope they break even on these projects. I look at the panobook as a community project, and I just hope Kolor will use it as a community building activity. As a new "panographer" I would have liked to see more articles, tips an...

My first shots with panoramic head

These are my to first "real" images with a panoramic head (Nodal Ninja 5L) and a 360x180 taken on the beach. http://ihodet.no/?p=668 (sorry I could not figure out how to embed the 360) Lots of campers from Germany, Nederlands and Austria camping out here. thanks for the well reasoned answer. What lens do you end up grabbing first from your bag when shooting 360x180?

Just a short note to inform you that the Nondal Ninja 5L arrived this weekend. Good quality and feel of the NN. I am hoping to adjust it to my lens tonight, and maybe shoot some midnight sun panormas. B-)
