Re: Jpeg2000 support?

Up! This would be great to be able to have something else available than TIFF files on input when you want to use a 16 bit workflow.

Trouble with DNG files

I tried to create a panorama fin APG rom Canon raws converted to DNG with the free Adobe converter.
It seemed to work... until I realized the panorama was 512 pixels high.
Apparently APG is using the JPEG preview data embedded in the DNG file.

Jpeg2000 support?

If I select a range of .jp2 images in APG (File/Select images), the program sees nothing. There is literally "0 image" in the file list. Those files have been created with ACDSee Ultimate (developed from raws). The problem is the same if the bit depth is 8 or 16 bits per color.

Re: No EXIF data for Facebook?

Just checked... It does work if I choose a spherical projection. Oddly enough, Facebook gives instructions using exiftool with a cylidrical projection. The spherical seems much better: Straight lines are rendered as straight lines at least.

Re: No EXIF data for Facebook?

I didn't edit the jpeg after rendering. Does it have to use a spherical projection?

No EXIF data for Facebook?

Apparently APG 4.4.1 doesn't record geometry data (such as described in https://developers.google.com/streetview/spherical-metadata?hl=en and https://facebook360.fb.com/editing-360-photos-injecting-metadata/). I'm trying to upload a cylindrical 360° panorama, not a full sphere. Is this feature suppo...

Re: APG and JPEG2000 - supported file formats?`

Hello

I also tried (and failed) to stitch, with APG 4.4.1,16 bit .jp2 files created with ACDSee from Canon .CR2 raw files.
But I think I found an alternative using 16 bit PNG files, which have roughly the same size as .CR2.

.JP2 would be a nice alternative though.

Re: Using older version of APG

I think the problem came from the lack of a proper GPU on my PC (ca 2012). I invested in a relatively cheap GeForce 1030 card with 2GB, and APG now works. I had to reflash the BIOS though to get the new board accepted. I realize there are some options in APG to use or not the GPU; Maybe they would h...

Re: Using older version of APG

It’s a PC running Windows 7 64 bits, 3rd generation i7, no dedicated video card, 12 GB of RAM.

APP 3.7 actually runs and so does APG 3.7 (for which I have no key). The trouble is that I have a license key for APP 3.7 and APG 4.4 but not APG 3.7, so I cannot use features like multiple points of view.

Using older version of APG

Hello I just upgraded from APP 3.7 to APG 4.4 but I found APG is crashing a lot, even when it’s only opening a newly detected pano for the first time with relatively few images (9). APP 3.7 on the other hand seems more robust and so does APG 3.7 Unfortunately the license key I have for APG 4.4 won’t...

Still not fixed. Raws aren’t imported correctly for EOS 6D Mark II either.

Yes the red tint is a real nuisance though. Did you replicate this too?

Vertical JPEG displayed as horizontal in APG detection

I converted a series of vertically oriented Canon EOS M6 .CR2 raw files to JPEG in Digital Professional 4.
In the detection panel, APG 4.4.1 displays the jpegs horizontally. Preview in Windows shows jpegs vertically.

Red tint in Canon .CR2

Importing Canon .CR2 files (from an EOS M6 camera) gives wrong colours. There is a kind of red tint. I tried with automatic white balance and same white balance as in photo.

Multiple points of view

I downloaded AutoPano Giga to try the multiple point of views feature, but the options seems to be absent from configuration dialogs. To be honest I don’t realy see a difference between the Giga and the plain vanilla version. What am I missing? Is this missing from the demo?

Panoramic cats

Hello there I used AutoPano to try to simulate what a wide angle lens with a very large aperture would look like. These were shot with a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 on an EOS 40D. (Click on the pictures for a bigger version). http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2421/3630015611_b67f39c7b6.jpg Flick page http://farm4...
