Re: Unable to find a thread...

Martin,

Thanks for the link, but it wasn't this one either. Interesting that old images have been removed, that might explain why I was unable to find it. The masking thread seems to be more suitable for me in what I'm trying to achieve, although I have Version 3.x

Thanks again,

Niall

Re: Unable to find a thread...

Georg,

Thanks for the prompt reply, but it wasn't this thread. It was pre APG 3.x. The entire tripod was in red, highlighting the mask.

[SOLVED] Unable to find a thread...

Guys, I remember seeing a thread on this forum before about putting a mask on images to remove content from a pano. There was pictures of a tripod which was painted in red to highlight the mask. I have searched the forums on 'Nadir' 'tripod' 'masking' alpha channel', there was lots of responses, but...

Re: [OSX 10.8.5, APG 3.0.8] Bannding on rendered images

Klaus, I got to the bottom of my banding, at last... The issue was being caused by the rendering parameters, which I had set to their default. See before (Pre-Blending_Change.jpg) and after (Post-Blending_Change.jpg) images attached. By trying different combinations of rendering I settled on these p...

Re: [OSX 10.8.5, APG 3.0.8] Bannding on rendered images

Klaus, ** What does that mean in detail? I never heard of that one. What a profile is it exactly? Remember: on the web there is nothing like reliable color-profiles. A kind of agreement says that sRGB is something like a base - but not every browser handles it correctly. The Color Checker is just th...

Re: [OSX 10.8.5, APG 3.0.8] Bannding on rendered images

Klaus,

I was doing further testing this morning and discovered that there was ISO variables in the pano images. My fault completely.

Apologies for wasting your time on this one.

I'll go and repeat the exercise again.

Happy New Year and thanks for your help.

Re: [OSX 10.8.5, APG 3.0.8] Bannding on rendered images

Klaus, I gues your issue probably is named color-management ;) ** Do you use any calibration and profile somewhere? Did you view the image in Photoshop and check the color-settings? After images have been imported into LR, I apply a colour profile from Develop > Camera Calibration > Profile. Using a...

Re: [OSX 10.8.5, APG 3.0.8] Bannding on rendered images

Klaus, I tried 16bit TIFF - No change. Workflow: Everything shot Manually; Aperature, Shutter Speed, ISO and Focus Import .RAF files into LR 5.3 as .RAF files (No DNG conversion). Some sharpening and colour correction using X-Rite ColorChecker Passport profiles. Using the LR Export utility, I export...

[OSX 10.8.5, APG 3.0.8] Bannding on rendered images

Greetings Guys,

My camera is a Fuji X-E2, Lens Zeiss ZM Biogon 28mm f/2.8.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I shoot fully manually. Exposure, ISO and Focus. 8Bit Tiff's exported from LR 5.3

I'm experiencing banding in the output from my rendered images. See attachment.

Aboard the Keikiwai...

Greetings all, This is a pano I took last month, while out shooting with bzh360.com in Dun Laoghaire Harbour. This pano consists of about 30 images laid out in two rows of 15, using my 16-35mm lens I also used the new masking feature in APG 3.0 to remove a sunspot. I hope you enjoy… http://bit.ly/...

Martin and Hans,

Thanks for the quick response. I had it in my mind that it was slightly different, I thought I could base the selection on the file name.

Your help still saved me time.

Thanks again...

[AGP 3.0.5 OSX 10.8.3] Opening images to stitch

Greetings all, My workflow consists of converting image sets of each panorama to .TIFF files which I then open in AGP to stitch and edit. My TIFF filenames will typically be 'pano1-1234.tiff, pano1-1235.tif...' for pano1. Pano2s filename will begin with pano2 and so on... My question is can I select...

Lee Valley, Cork

Greetings all,

I noticed this location while travelling out to Goughane Barra and returned to it the following day. The light was a little on the strong side, so I tried to keep as much of the direct sun light out of the image as possible..

Enjoy...

You were absolutley correct about my previous posting, it was all wrong, so I removed it from the forum. Trying to put in a sky, its just finding the right one......

Etienne

Stunning collection of images here, I loke the tents and the snowmobiles. Just goes to show that even in these conditions there are 'two car tents'!!

The barn between the trees was very nice too. I would have taken the car out.

Great set of shots Etienne, well done.
