Recommendations for lenses in specific situations ?

I have a GigaPan Epic Pro whith which I've shot lots of panos, mostly outside but also indoors. I was wondering is there is place somewhere on this site of the web with recommendations as to which lens to use in specific situations? How many images in a pano? How many is overkill? For example, I rec...

Re: How should I fix this?

Hi Olivier, Actually you made me maybe track the issue with the Gigapan import wizard... I noticed the same overlap issue on other panos made with Gigapan and imported with the Gigapan import wizard. It always happes in the center, i.e. at the seam where left and right sides of the 360° pano meet. I...

How should I fix this?

I am working on a pano that was shot with a GigaPan Epic Pro and an EOS 5D with a Sigma 50mm lens. The total pano is 13 columns x 8 rows (not a full 360°, my bad). I imported the images using the "Import from..." wizard which is really great. However at some times, the stitching is not per...

Re: Cannot link hotspot to something else than a pano... [SOLVED]

When you create a new tour, the point spot has the action "Go to a panorama or a group" associated with it by default. To create spots that trigger other actions you need to either edit the default spot or create a new one in the "Style" tab. Ok, got it... That's what...

Re: Cannot link hotspot to something else than a pano... [SOLVED]

Hi Destiny, I think I didn't make myself clear :-). When I open an older project (screenshot 1), and I edit a hotspot, I can make it link to another pano, or to a photo. These photos are on my disk, just as the panos, and when I generate to tour they are copied over to the output. In the resulting t...

Cannot link hotspot to something else than a pano... [SOLVED]

OK, so I must say I'm not a regular user... I have Panotour Pro latest version on my Mac. In the past I dit make tours in which some hotspots were liking to other panos, and other hotspots were linking to photos that would simply pop up when the user clicked on the hotspot. So as said, I didn't use ...

Panorama circulaire déformé - comment solutionner? [RESOLU]

Distorted pano - help & advice welcome [SOLVED]

Hi, I've shot four 360° panoramas using an Canon EOS 5D and EF 24-70 lens at 70mm in landscape orientation, mounted on a Gigapan EPIC Pro head. This yields 19 images to take a full 360° row. All panos were imported in AutoPano Giga using the Gigapan import module and further processed there. Process...

Need advise with multi-row pano

Hello, I recently started to experiment with multi-row panos (using gear from Really Right Stuff). Here is a link to a tour I made using AutoPäno Giga and Panotour: http://www.jfschmitz.com/pano/waterloo4/ You will notice that the panos taken and ground level (two rows) are +/- OK, but the four pano...

Re: Waterloo and Flowering bluebells

The ability to look straight up at the sky. That would imply multi-row pano shooting, right? I do not gave the gear right now. These panos where shot with Really Right Stuff gear (192 Precision Plus on a BH-55 head) on a Gitzo Systematic tripod. I'm still wondering should I further invest in RRS mu...

Hi,
Yes, that I understand :-). My question was, is it possible to force the pan to continue, skipping the missing part, and start again from the opposite edge?
