Just to be sure... when you say "pano" for the panobook, you really mean "stitched photo", thus allowing pictures of classical proportions, not just images with pano-proportions. Am I correct there ?

I have to agree with Photomadnz, it would be nice to finally have fusion going... How long ago was it that we had the poll going to see what was more important... Fish Eye against HDR... Whilst HDR and fusion are very much in vogue all over the world, it is extra important for photographers in the s...

This morning, the book that probably had to travel the longest distance - roughly 20000 km to the South Island of New Zealand - arrived with only a few minor dents. My observations : 1. Yes, the packing was a bit optimistic 2. After reading all the horror stories of damaged books within France, I ha...

Hi Mediavets, For my (infrequent) panos, I use a Fuji S5 with Nikon 10.5, 50 1.8 and 105 Micro. Most panos would be made up of 20-40 images at 12 Mpixel, if starting from RAW, or 5 times that amount if starting from bracketed JPGs. A few times I have taken it a step further, by taking 3 or 4 differe...

Suggestions for computer configuration

I know, this sort of question has been asked countless times before, but since both hardware and software evolve, yesterday's answers might have to be amended. So here it is : I need a new computer, and I am aware that the soon to be released 2.0 version of Autopano will benefit from 64 bit and grap...

Focus stacking

I am not sure if the subject of focus stacking has been discussed since Gurl started a thread in Using Autopano on 24/1/07. On 5/2/07, Alexandre made the remark that extending the depth of field wouldn't be too difficult... So, here is my bit to add to the wish list... Now that HDR seems to be only ...

HDR - Enfuse

Since HDR is top of the list for new features in APP 1.4, this request : would it be possible to have a look at Enfuse, and see if it could be part of the new set up... Enfuse is "only" a blender, but one that produces images that equal or are superior to those of real tonemappers, and without the h...

Vielen Dank Klaus, das hat mir sehr geholfen... There is still the problem that APP doesn't pick up the lens and camera data from the Photomatix files, but that suddenly seems to be a minor problem. Had a look at your virtual tours, and really liked the Burgoben one... there is a subtlety in colour ...

fisheye settings

Maybe this has already been brought up somewhere else in the forum... if so, I apologise. I just bought a Nikon 10.5 mm fisheye lens, in order to try to get to a faster, more efficient workflow to create Virtual Tours - I had been trying out the medium using the Nikon 12-24 mm lens, but there were j...

Render settings

It could be useful to some to have an optional second output directory.
This would give you a back-up file of your finished pano on an external hard drive, or where ever you keep your back your back-ups.

Speeding up APP

I seem to remember that (I think) Bo suggested a few weeks ago to disable something in AVG-Grisoft in order to speed up APP. I have spent a frustrating hour trying to find this tip, but cannot find it... Help !

You create the dust map by shooting an out of focus image of a white sheet of paper - or gray card for that matter - just before or after the set of images concerned.

Dust map

Would it be possible to introduce the option of using a dust map in APP ? Sensor dust is everybody's problem, and in a pano with lots of sky, you spend a lot of time with the healing brush, cleaning up the same spots, which have multiplied all over your panorama. A second issue ( but I am not sure i...
