Re: Can you pitch a 360 pano 90degrees, fix it in PS and bri

I noticed there was a "Use Nadir Patch" option when you click on a panorama at the bottom right. I'll have to go and look for the documentation on that and see if that might help also.

Re: Can I paint out the tripod in nadir images before detect

I have to say, in my case, it is faster to do it that way then to use the APG masking tool. I usually do 3 bracketed images and use the Quick Selection tool with some recorded Actions in Photoshop and it goes fast and reliably.

But YMMV as usual.

Re: Can you pitch a 360 pano 90degrees, fix it in PS and bri

Thank you Klaus.

I do have a Panotour license but I am not finding finding KRPano anywhere. Is it hidden someplace?
Or is it only for Panotour Pro?

Can you pitch a 360 pano 90degrees, fix it in PS and bring i

I posted a similar question in the APG forum but maybe the answer is in Panotour instead. I have a 360 / 180 pano where I forgot to shoot a nadir shot. When I assemble it in APG, it gives me empty pixels all along the bottom. If I use the pitch tool at 90 degrees, this empty area comes up as a much ...

Can you pitch a 360 pano 90degrees, fix it in PS and bring i

I have a 360 / 180 pano where I forgot to shoot a nadir shot. When I assemble it in APG, it gives me empty pixels all along the bottom. If I use the pitch tool at 90 degrees, this empty area comes up as a much smaller roundish patch in the middle of the pano. I would like to be able to render that, ...

Re: Can I paint out the tripod in nadir images before detect

I tested this method and here are the results: For some reason, when I save the images as TIFF and open them in APG, APG does not recognize the transparency. The are where the tripod was erased comes out as white. Now this could very well be due to a setting that I need to check. I try saving with t...

Re: Is there a way to reset the "Move" to its original posit

there's an easy way to do that without screwing up your perfectly straight pano - use the numerical transform tool! Set pitch to -90, do whatever it is you want to do, then set pitch +90. Brilliant! Yes, that makes so much sense! I am intrigued by your other method for the nadir shots. I'll have to...

Can I paint out the tripod in nadir images before detection?

The masking tool works fairly well to eliminate the tripod in nadir shots as explained in this page: http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Patching_the_nadir But I still get some residual tripod bits and pieces here and there and often have to go and fix that in Photoshop afterwards. I would l...

Is there a way to reset the "Move" to its original position?

Hello everyone, I am following the tutorial on using the masking tool to eliminate the tripod on nadir shots and it is working with good (although not perfect) success. One step that is recommended is, after the 360 degree pano has been detected is to move the area where the tripod is visible to the...

Re: How can I limit the manual rotation speed ?

Actually I just found a workaround. Sorry if this was obvious to the long time users but it might help someone else just getting into PT.

Change the mouse mode to Drag To instead of the default Move To. Much better!

Re: How can I limit the manual rotation speed ?

For mouse speed this can be done only into the XML code not via the Panotour Pro GUI. Add this code into the XML file and change the mousespeed value to a lower number. Thank you very much, Benji. But this is only available in PT Pro? Can it be done by hacking the xml in PT? If so which xml is it. ...

Polygon hotspots suddenly show up as concentric circles.

I made a few polygon hotspots to travel from one pano to another. When I first tested this, the whole polygon appeared as transparent white. But now all of a sudden, the hotspots appear as animated concentric circles. I actually kind of like that better but I would like to know how and why this sudd...

Re: How can I limit the manual rotation speed ?

I found an answer to my second question, ie how to stop the auto rotation on a hotspot.

There is indeed a setting called "Pause on hover" which works perfect! Awesome.

Auto rotation stopped working on the first pano.

I turned Auto rotation on for my Panotour and it has been working well. But suddenly after I tweaked a bunch of things, the auto rotation stopped working on the first image. (It may have been after I changed the start time from 1s to 2s but I'm not sure). It still works fine on all the other ones ho...
