Hi Bobby and Carrie, Did you shoot raw or jpg? what size are the images? could it be the that you the camera was exedently set to low resolution jpg mode? or perhaps was set to raw+jpg and when adding raws directly in autopano the embedded jpgs are used? In that case try to develope them first ans a...

Hi Alexandre,

I've been using this option a lot. But what I'm asking for is a button that creates hardlinks for all unlinked images to all adjacent images. So that I don't have to manually create tens or hundreds of individual hardlinks.

feature request: a 'stick to grid position' checkbox for optimizing

Often panos are created on a panohead, manually or automated, so the images are within margins fixed in a grid set by xml or set in the gigapan import-filter. Would it be possible to have a checkbox in the optimizer settings of the CP editor that would stick the images to the grid they were shot at?...

feature request: hardlink unlinked images to available adjacent images

When shooting multi-row panoramas with a fixed spacing, by hand on a panohead with index-rings or automatic, I often have to hardlink the images with moving clouds or plain blue sky. Now I have to set all hardlinks by hand, image after image for all images without links. It would be very helpful to ...

There are two ways to get 5 identical pano files for the 5 sets of exposures. 1: create one pano per exposure, copy the folders per exposure. Create 5 folders, each containing the files of a given exposure. Rename all the files for each folder, start with 0001.tif and add 1 for each file. Like the e...

No, most of the 360º panos are renders <100%. I patch the nadir with a handhelt shot, only image of that last shot is optimised with 'multiple viewpoints enabled'. Because of that last optimized picture the folcal length is redetermend and the pano's size grows. Without the nadir-patch a perfect 36...

just found a third 1px thin line in the sky of the pano above. They're hard to spot... they follow the curves of bended edges of the pictures. fortunately it's fairly easy the clone them out.

[APG2.6.2RC3 MacOS10.6.8 x64] blending artifacts

When examining my panos up close I've found some sharp 1 pixel wide blending artifacts, most notably in the skye and less often in other parts of the pano. They'r clustered around the edges if the individual pictures. I'm rendering with default anti ghost settings and use the spline interpolator. No...

APG2.6.2RC1to3 File corruption (prob. after reload image and saving)

If I remember correctly this started happening after the APG2.6.2RC1 release. I'm Currently testing with APG2.6.2RC3, Apple MacPro, MacOS v10.6.8, the problem still exists. Situation: Detected 360º pano, improved CP's and saved. Add or modify transparency mask in Photoshop and reload modified image...

Softness progressively worsening with each new version.

Hi, First of all I'm thinking Kolor is doing a great job with autopano. It's getting better with every update except for absolute sharpness. I'm seeing a drop in sharpness *** the version progress. I'm re-rendering old panos with improved raw processing in Adobe Raw and applying the haze-removal-plu...

No need to 'salvage' this pano, the sourcefiles render just fine. After 15min in APG adding and removing CP's and activating Mulitle viewpoints there are almost no stitching errors visible. Thanx for testing Hans, I'm using a Mac, MasOS X v10.6.8, what are you using? It's odd that you don't experience the same problems I have with APG2.6b2. The panos I've posted are are detected with the settings below. I've also removed bad CP's and added new DP's on important parts of images. Then op...

Okey, here's the file. 10 jpg's, all Nikon D300, Sigma 10mm fisheye. 2 panos, created in APG2.6b2. One before optimize with Multiple Viewpoints, one after the optimization. 2 APG2.6b2 rendered files, one before optimize with Multiple Viewpoints, one after the optimization. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10...

APG 2.6b2 problem when rendering pano with Multiple Viewpoints enabled

Hi, I downloaded APG2.6b2 today and did a quick test. Strangely, when I'm rendering a pano with Multiple Viewpoints enabled, the preview looks fine but in the final rendering is the images are not properly aligned. See image #1. When I disable Multiple Viewpoints and re-optimise with only lens-corre...

Hi Sam,

1st and 2nd row focused at infinity, 3rd focused at 2 steps back from infinity, 4th focused around 5m, 5th focused around 2m. Between rows I measure the exposure with a light-meter, the amount of light drops quickly at sunset. Started at 1/10th sec. ended with 1/5th sec. exposures.

Fortunately I'm a raw shooter and often use a light-meter. I've removed the internal IR filter in order to shoot some IR panos but I first had to learn to process the raw files of this cam with the internal IR filter replaced by an external B+W IRUV cut filter. This completely changed its white-bala...

In a field of Poppies - 210 megapixel 360° pano

Hi, Created this pano yesterday. Shot with my new Sigma DP2 compact camera, 96 raw images, 5 rows 18 columns. Check out the sharpness at 100%. The raw images are small (2640x1760px) but every pixel is supersharp. The interactive 360º pano http://ronaldtichelaar.nl/poppies A mercator projection (256...
