Q: Difference between APP vs APG re: blending?

Hi: 1. I recently posted a question in regards to getting better blend results in the sky (I currently have APP). 2. Based on a reply, I checked out APG and I don't know if it's my imagination or not, but it seems that the APG blending seems to be smoother. It appears that in the render engine, APG ...

Re: Please help with blending the sky

Hi: 1. Thanks for the suggestion, but can you be more specific? 2. I just opened up autopano pro, went to plugins, but then couldn't go or do anything beyond that. 3. Can someone direct me to a specific step by step tutorial in regards to blending or is there an actual page in the "manual"...

Please help with blending the sky

Hi: 1. I need / request some clear and concise advise on how to get the best results in regards to blending the sky. 2. I've read the current documentation (somewhat difficult for me to understand), I've tried using autopano with smart blend (older version), I've used the current version of autopano...

Autopano Pro: Manual Stitching?

Hi: 1. I have autopano pro 3.0 and was wondering if / how one goes about manually stitching images? In both Realviz and PT Gui,you can manually add control points and then have the application try to stitch the image. I'm not sure with PT Gui, but with Realviz, you can also just force stitch the ima...

Autopano Pro: How to output pano with layers?

Hi: 1. I currently have autopano pro 3.0 and in the past with this software and others like PT Gui or Realviz, when rendering the pano, if one wants to output the pano with all the layers, all one would need to do is so designate it at the time of rendering. 2. Problem: with autopano 3.0, the "...

Update: 1. Thanks for the info re: most recent update of autopano pro; I did the suggested settings / method (ie diamond something) and it did indeed seem to give a smoother sky. In that I have photoshop and know how to basic masking; no problems making two panos and masking in the smoother of the t...

Thanks for the additional data. However, I'll need further clarification: a: I did reopen the pano project on autopanopro 3 and was fumbling around in the render engine, all that I initially can see in the blending options are: simple, anti-ghost and two other ones... and then "custom". However, tha...

Updated Comments: 1. First of all, thanks for supplying the link for the prior version of autopano pro with smart blend; I downloaded it and it works great. 2. Second, it may not be of much help and it's really not a good example but here's the pano that I've been having problems with in re: blendin...

Hi: 1. Thanks for the quick replies and I have no problem in admitting that my problem may be due to user error. With that being said, here's my basic workflow: a. I shoot the pano correctly (ie tripod, manual exposure, lens hood, not super wide focal length (ex: 28mm) etc... b. I batch process the ...

Please provide link for prior version autopano pro with smart blend?

Hi: 1. I recently "upgraded" to autopano 3, but at least for my pano work, this is in many ways a step backwards (I hate when that happens). Specifically, as some have noted in this forum, the blend method in autopano 3 is definitely inferior to prior versions which utilized smartblend. 2. As such, ...

advice needed on blending the sky

hi: 1. i'm going to assume this is a very common question, but if someone can help me out, i'd really appreciate it. 2. basic data: i shoot in raw, process all images with the same parameters, shoot in manual (same exposure etc...). most of the time, the default blending in autopano or realviz (auto...

Can someone straighten his pano? Need Help.

hi: 1. i'm having a very tough time trying to straighten this pano. i've tried the automatic leveling feature (didn't work). i then tried using the vertical line method--> i was able to straighten out the ocean horizon, but the ends of the pano was then problematic. what's frustrating is that i can ...

hi: 1. this is to also confirm what appears to be the same problem i talked about recently (but i never posted any images). ie i had no problems stitching together the .hdr radiance files with autopano pro, but the resulting pano when subsequently tonemapped in photomatix was definitely strange (kin...

hi: 1. i used both APP 1.4 and 2.0--> both were problematic in producing a proper .HDR file. both were able to stitch the individual .HDR files, but the APP 2.0 produced a basically black pano, which when tonemapped in photomatix produced an odd monochrome type image. what's interesting is the APP1....

hi: 1. thanks for the various posts. 2. after reading bernard's suggestion and glancing at Freeman's book today, it all started to make sense (at least for me) in re: making the HDR pano by first creating individual ".HDR" files and then putting those files into autopanopro--> making a .HDR pano--> ...

Request: concrete instructions on how to create HDR panos (bracketed)

hi: 1. i just read the brief overview (in the documentation section) on how to create bracketed panos, which can then be used in something like photomatix. 2. problem: the description was too brief for a newbie like me (in re: autopanopro) to follow. thus, it would be great if someone can give me so...
