Re: Panotour compass and radar cone

Thank you. Yes, I figured this already. I was under impression that Autopano is embedding compass data somehow into stitched image, but apparently I'm wrong. I don't even know if a single RAW image contains such information. The method you described does the job, but is approximate. One must set the...

Re: Panotour compass and radar cone

Huh, problem partially solved ... I can set compass orientation manually in tour preview window. Now compass needle and radar cone on map point are displaying more or less correct panorama position. But how to determine exact North direction?

Panotour compass and radar cone

Had them working properly once before, but not anymore. I mean, both compass plug-in and radar display on the map doesn't show correct panorama position when rotated. Recently I'm stitching my panos with TIFF images after batch processing original DNG files in Photoshop. Perhaps some relevant inform...

Did I bought a dead cow?

I paid a significant amount of money for Autopano Giga and Panotour Pro suite. Not that I'm complaining because the software delivers stunning results most of the time, but this forum seems to be deaf when I'm asking for help. Official Kolor tech support apparently doesn't exist as well. This makes ...

Watching a tour on another computer [SOLVED]

360x180 high resolution spherical tour is truly huge, 3.5GB in data folder. To watch it on my Mac I'm using krpano Testing Server app on desktop by simply dragging HTML file into it. However, what do I need to do next so the tour may be seen in full glory and resolution on any device known to mankind?

Re: No background audio on .ptv file ... [SOLVED]

OK, figured this out, myself as usual :p ... To play the tour with embedded sound on my Mac I'm using small app called krpano Testing Server , which is a part of krpano tour maker trial software. The execution is somehow awkward as for now because I must launch the app first and drag the HTML file t...

Re: Poor tour quality... [SOLVED]

Screen Shot 2018-05-10 at 5.50.21 PM.png OK, figured this out ... The trick is to make sure that stitched image is rendered at FULL sphere 360x180 (not Auto) by executing the crop (green check icon) and later crop out the black parts - if any - in tour maker. Now the tour is playing back at full av...

Re: Poor quality image... [SOLVED]

Martin, I read this thread, followed the suggestion to render full 360x180 sphere stitch in APG with black holes in the sky and later crop the image in PTP, but no success so far. The entire row around and below horizon is of terrible quality at magnification when compared to stitched TIFF image as ...

That much I know, but for some reason the sound doesn't play back when file is opened in local browser on my Mac. It actually happen once with one tour, but I wasn't able to replicate this anymore.

Poor tour quality... [SOLVED]

Screen Shot 2018-05-09 at 1.14.05 AM.png I stitched partial 360x180 spherical panorama with 72 pictures in APG. Rendered TIF image is of over 600 MP size and looks fairly sharp when examined in Photoshop. The tour created in PTPro, however, doesn't look that good when zoomed 500%. I'm using .ptv fi...

Re: No background audio on .ptv file ... [SOLVED]

Gerald, this is totally new territory for me to explore, so please bear with me ... At this moment I have no intention to share my panoramas with the world, so this is slightly different scenario. What browser are you talking about? I stitch my +/- 500 MP panorama in APG 4.4, I process resulting TIF...

No background audio on .ptv file ... [SOLVED]

The only reason why I spent this horrendous amount of money to purchase Panotour Pro is the 200 MP size limit of input file in standard version. However, I'm having issue with background audio, which apparently can be embedded in PP as an option. When created .PTV file is loaded into Panotour Viewer...

Re: Gigapixel sharpness in Panotour [SOLVED]

If you're using Panotour standard version (not Pro version), the software will limit the image size to 200 MP max no matter what size you input for processing. This will result in loss of details and pixelation in some areas, unfortunately.

Re: Horizon not true ... [SOLVED]

Olivier, thank you for response. Indeed, here in flat country the horizon doesn't offer much of well defined details to deal with. The drone camera itself is not perfectly plumb and level during sequence shooting, resulting in somehow non consistently framed horizon line. However, I've been able to ...

Missed very bottom of 360x180 sphere ... [SOLVED]

Just scratching the surface of Autopano Giga, trying to master the art of 360 spherical panoramas with aerial images taken by DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone. I have 34 images in sequence, including the one straight down, but for some reason panorama processed further in Panotour doesn't allow to look strai...

Re: 360 sphere, output file interactive playback ... [SOLVED]

Olivier, thank you for explanation, but I should be more specific: I will use Autopano Giga software to create 360 spherical panorama. Would I be able to display rendered file directly to a TV monitor using this application, or will I need a dedicated player?

Regards,
Matthew
