Possible to mask an area?

Hi guys,

right now I have to mask several huge areas and its quite a messy process to keep klicking those red dots everywhere. Is it possible to mask an area somehow?

This set doesnt work - did I mess up shooting?

Hi, I have this set that doesnt work when I try to detect the pano. All other panos from this set worked out fine, i'm not sure what happened. I noticed on some images there is a slight stitching error, maybe the camera was not fixed well on the pano head. (I was in a hurry since the sun was going d...

Re: "Fog" on Stacked panos

reducing the antighose ammount seems to do the trick. I will try to finish this 15 images series and report back whether it worked.

Re: "Fog" on Stacked panos

I normally use the exposure weights feature in autopano.
I have also tried LR but the result was completely different

blending: multiband
cutting: smart
weighting: fusion

should I apply any corrections?

Re: Computer Specs for Gigapixel Panos

For making images like this, you could make a huge amazon cloud server (you can rent them hourly) So what you do is rent a cheap as possible amazon cloud server, install and set up the ubuntu + autopano - then you change the machine type to for example c5.18x machine has 72 cpus and 144gb of ram for...

"Fog" on Stacked panos

Hi ,

i've started to shoot only brackets even when the lighting is OK for single shooting. However I noticed that under bright light condition (outside) there are sometimes foggy fragments in the images.

Is there any way to overcome this?

[solved] Automatically resizing images for GSV?

Hey all, one question. Sometimes, when stitching the output image will be like 14987x7417 pixels. now that is not a 2:1 ratio and the GSV app has issues uploading them. What I do currently is: - cut horizontal resolution to 14986 (so it can be divided by 2) - calculate y resolution - add black pixel...

Re: [Feature request] Saving the edited, unstitched pano as  [DONE]

totally fine! just wanted to point this out as an idea.

The way I'm currently doing it is to have a same setting server setup (same home dir etc) - as otherwise the filenames in the .pano file are not working.

Future autopano hardware support? [SOLVED]

Hey guys, sorry for asking too much... I've read somewhere that autopano giga doesnt use any GPU for increasing the speed of rendering. I have a i7 and a xeon but both need about 3-4 minutes per pano which is quite looong. Are you planning to use opencl in future (in that case I will keep my 3x1070)...

[Feature request] Saving the edited, unstitched pano as arch [DONE]

Hey guys, it would be cool if you could save the .pano file in an extended manner, so that the source images are also inside the .pano file. Like that we could push the .pano files to a rendering farm and have them rendered on a more powerful machine. I'm now running autopano on a fat server, that i...

License Question: Multiple install [SOLVED]

Hey guys, one question: I want to install a second instance on a fat AWS machine so I can render larger projects quicker then on my all in one desktop pc. I'm not planning to use both instances at the same time, if the project is too big I will use "the other PC" ... Is this covered by the...

Re: Autopano not able to stitch, hugin no issue? [SOLVED]

Thanks. Yes. No my question was: for the samyang 8mm, how do you know the focal length is 12.8mm? BTW entering 12.8mm seems to work - however I need to understand where did you get that number from (I'm a noob - next time I dont want to have to ask)

Commercial cameras vs rig?

Hi there, I'm totally fascinated with 360 in general - and I want to start getting into vr 360 spherical photos and vids. From what I've seen on Youtube and images, I do wanna go 8k minimum. Now, I've seen the insta360 pro which generally makes a good impression, but a diy rig might be much cheaper ...

DIY Rig - few questions

Hi,

I'm planning to build a small DIY 360 VR rig using cheap action cameras.

My questionmarks:

Is there an ideal overlap for the images?
Is it bad too have too much overlap?
For the quality of the resulting image/video - is it better to have the cameras straight instead of angled?
