feature request - auto virtual tour

many times we need to put the tour to automatic mode, but this feature doesn't exists or I had never seen it before.

we need to make the panos to rotate (already done) and after some minutes, change to other panorama.

There should be an option to adjust values for this feature.

Please consider this, sometimes we want to put the tour in a big panel in an exposition event, and we can't...

Re: feature request - auto virtual tour

You are not the first to request such a feature.

A search of the forum will reveal some ways you can achieve what you seek.

See:  http://www.kolor.com/forum/p79684-2011-03-19-01-09-17

..............

One option is to use a different software solution - Pano2VR along with 360panogallery:
Pano2VR        http://gardengnomesoftware.com/pano2vr.php

360panogallery      http://ww2.360panotours.com/

However it is also possible also by handcoding some additional XML code for Panotour Pro.

Hi!

Look at this one: http://ww2.360panotours.com/

But you need to do your panos using Pano2VR . . .

Handcoding some additional XML for auto tour ? Did someone do that before?

Me too - but how long do you wish to wait? People have been asking for such a feature in Panotour Pro (or via a separate new software tool) for a couple of years or more if I recall correctly.

I don't know how much such a capability would be worth to you but the Pano2VR + 360panogallery soloution is not very expensive if you need to get a solution quickly.

Yes, you'll find more info in this thread:

Hi all,

The next major release of PTP will maybe contain this feature. (As I am not fluent in english, perhaps "maybe" is not the right term, "certainly" or "surely" may fit better :-) )

But I am not sure that the way it will be implemented will be exactly the way described in all the different threads existing since this "couple of years".

In English 'maybe' would imply that it is not very likely - but I am pleased to hear that in fact we shall certainly see a feature of this sort in the next major release.

Is there a target date yet for that next major release? Are we talking weeks, months or years?

But I am not sure that the way it will be implemented will be exactly the way described in all the different threads existing since this "couple of years".

Do you have any ideas you can share about what sort of features you plan and how they might be configured within the UI?

I have previously reported some ideas of what I'd like to see, and I'm sure others would like to offer their ideas too.

Who knows there may be some common requests/ideas, and some of them might even be good ideas. wink
