Exposure adjusted raw images give different panorama sizes

Hi there, I have a 12 shot panorama, which was shot at 0ev. I want to create an HDR image from it. I am using lightroom to create virtual copies of the same source images at -1 and +1ev, and exporting full size jpegs so that I end up with 3 sets of the exact same 12 images at -1, 0 and +1ev.

When I stitch these same sets of images together, the panoramas generated are slightly different sizes, and so my HDR software will not stitch them together. I've tried cropping the images to the same size in photoshop, but then the features within the images won't line up correctly, as AutoPano Giga is warping them differently.

I've tried using the HDR functionality within AutoPano Giga but it doesn't give me the results I want. How can I force the 3 original panoramas to be warped/joined in exactly the same way so that my final 3 output jpegs I will use to build my HDR image are the same?

Re: Exposure adjusted raw images give different panorama sizes

... and why didnt you take a set of +1,0,-1 images and create your HDR/tonemapped image and than take your 12 tonemapped images and create your pano with autopano.
this works well as long you apply the same settings in your hdr software.

software this workflow does work with:
freeware:  EnfuseGUI
commercial: Photomtix Pro, Oloneo Photo Engine, Dynamic Photo HDR 5

Re: Exposure adjusted raw images give different panorama sizes

I have just done that now using Photomatix Pro, but it's a lot more work to create 12 tonemapped images, and then create a panorama from them as it would be to create 3 panoramas and tonemap them.

The best way to do this is to tonemap the 12 images using a HDR program like Photomaix Pro. Its easy to use and you can make a template with your adjustments and settings and you can apply them each time.

When stiching APG or APP doesn't give out the same image alignments. So you will get differently aligned panoramas for your 3 sets of images. It might take some time but my guess is that is the best option.
