linking a video

Hi,
To keep the tour as small as possible I would like to link videos to already existing videos on the same website instead of uploading them within the tour.

Is it possible to  change the path in the html or html or xml code somewhere? And if so - where are the paths located?

Thanks much
Frank

Re: linking a video

As videos are either spots or objects displayed when clicking on a spot, their paths are in the XML file of the panorama on which you set them.
So if your videos are in the n-th panorama of your tour, then you'll find the video paths in the file suffixed by "n-1.xml" .

Ok, so if the video is on
videourl="virtualtourdata/graphics/spots/spot7.mp4"
do I have to change the path to-->
videourl="http//:www.domain.com/videos/spot7.mp4"     ?
does this work?

Re: linking a video

Did you try a relative link rather than an absolute link?

Re: linking a video

I just see that the video is on youtube.
What exactly do I have to do to stream the youtube video in the tour?
I tried as a url link, but this is not the effect that I'm looking for.
The Goal is to show the youtube video on a rectangle hotspot.

I don't believe it's possible to stream Youtube video within a rectangular hotspot.

Is it possible to somehow embed  the video in a tour? Anyhow?
Can I use this code from the youtube video in any way?
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/FwD_XKQX5t8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Thanks

Re: linking a video

Hi Destiny
big_smile
Thats great, both solutions http://www.destinyvirtualtours.com/SBFl … index.html and
http://www.destinyvirtualtours.com/Wind … index.html
are what I am looking for!
But how to do this?
I don't mind that If it doesn't work on Ipad.
Would you share your wisdom how to do this embedding into a VT?

Cheers
Frank

BTW a good alternative to the flip book software:
http://www.jquery4u.com/animation/jquer … animation/
..and its jquery, maybe this will work wit Iphone devices?

Hi.. its appears that many of the big companies use RealView and others like them but I really do not know why, they look terrible as a real flipping book. But, it might be due to the fact they work on iPads, or this mob administrate the content too.. not sure if it works in an iPad since I do not have one.. so perhaps someone can test to see.. The first hotspot is from RealView, not really sure about the Myers catalogue, ..

Destiny..

Hi, I tested it on Safari (user agent IPhone) and it did not load. I will keep on searching for an acceptable flip book solution as well.
