help straightening panorama

Hi
Apologies i am relatively inexperienced at using gigapan.
I am having some problems straightening my panoramas.
I recently took a series of gigapixel panoramas (using a pano head) however when i stitch them using gigapan they are coming out curved or at an angle.
I have used the straightening tool for when the whole panoramic is at an angle but i was wondering if it is possible to change the anchor image to stop this from happening?
On the occasions where the panorama has come out curved i have used the vertical axis straightening tool but it often seems to make the problem worse.
Is there an alternative solution for straightening gigapixel panoramas?
Many thanks
Jasper

Re: help straightening panorama

Are you using a manual or a robotic pano head?

Did you level the pano head before your shoot?

Can you show us a screenshot to demonstrate the problem you have?

Tip: use the Post reply rather than the Quick post option and you'll find an Image upload feature beneath the message edit box.

Re: help straightening panorama

You can rotate the whole pano by adjusting the 'roll' angle.

To straighten out a curved horizon you have to change the centre point of the picture (vanishing point) by clicking just above or below the median line.

On a long pano you will probably not be able to sort it all out, but you can usually improve it quite a bit.
