Im really having some serious issues with TIFFs images for some time now....
maybe its becouse of my computer ? inteil 6600quad core 2.4 4gb ram
I don´t know with which TIFFs exactly my computer crashes (also even when the TIFF is not open, just on the computer, it reaaaaaaally slows everything down, i can´t event open a folder, and i have to delete that file ASAP, i don´t really know when it does get corrupted or....
maybe its becouse of the compression ? or maybe becouse its bigger than 1gb ? i doubt it...
anyone else experiencing something similar to this ?
thank you

You have some shell extension installed that is reading tiff to display thumbnail. On tiff format, it's just a nightmare. You need to prevent that. Quite sure it's the right issue.

it's possible to disable the thumbnail preview :
Check the option always show icons, never thumbnails in the Folder Options

I hope it helped

Alexandrej : I think i installed some time ago some kind of program or something to read HDR tumbnails etc... is not on my PC anymore tho... i checked for any program like that and i didn´t find anything, maybe its hidden somewhere or i didn´t delete it properly
Lionel : I´ll try that and see if it works (it doesn´t crash with every TIFF file tho, thats why it stranges me)
Thank you for the responses
regards, Manuel.
