Hi all
I have around 30 years experience in pro-photo, both analogue and digital, but
feel like a newbie with this technique !
I purchased the complete PanoGear with the TC-tablet, shooting with a Canon 5D mk II, 135 mm lens, MacBook + SnowLeopard.
Everything works fine (almost) with the TC, but when using Papy + Bluetooth I got
in to some trouble.
Two things that I hope someone can give me some advice to solve:
1. The head start moving at the same time as the trigger goes on. And the result
is blurred images. Do I adjust that in the Papy>Plugins>Merlin-Orion Shutter?
Main or Hard? Where do I find information for these settings?
2. Can I shoot with the mirror locked up the whole session? Which settings controls that? Which settings do I set on the 5DmkII?
This is probably simple questions for this forum, but I can't find any answers on all the sites and faq's I've been looking to.
Thanks in advance

Hi Sven!
A shortcoming of DSLRs is not to be able to keep the mirror locked up permanantly. It needs to be locked up agaiin for each shot - when the exposure is done the mirror returns.
But there is a workaround: PromoteControl. This device takes over the internal controls of the 5D2 and enables it to keep the mirror locked-up
at least for a bracketed series. It uses the live-view to achieve that. http://www.promotesystems.com/products/ … ntrol.html
I didn´t ry to lock it up for the complete shooting of a sphere - might work nevertheless . . . i´ll give it a try in the upcoming week.
Keeping the mirror locked up consumes much power - so digital cameras don´t like it . . ![]()

Because i use the T&C only instead of PapyWizard on Nokia or laptop i can´t say something reliable.
But from the time i used the Nokia N800 or a laptop i know there´s a time to set the head must wait before the next shot.
Claude, Andrew or Frédéric (the designer of PapyWizard) surely can help you.
best and good luck, Klaus

Welcome to the forum....
This documentation will help explain the Papywizard shooting sequence:

To address your issue #1 you need to set an appropriate Time value:

Thanks a lot.....I've adjusted the Time value to 1.5 sec and it works great now.
