This is just a simple flat pano but it will not render.. Nothing happens.. I give it a folder, I name it and press render.. but nothing happens.. I try again, give it a folder and and file name and press render.. but nothing happens... I tried a png, a jpg and a tif..

..... So I rebooted and started again... Loaded the image, set the lens, camera and focal settings, set it to auto render and pressed render.. CRASH...!
Rebooted and loaded the images and started again.. This time they stitched and rendered.. ![]()

... .... .... .... oh hum!
I then put the same images into PTGui.. I did not have to put any additional information in like lens or camera.. It found it all.. I then stitched and rendered.. Quick, easy and... almost perfect.. I really do not know what I do wrong with apg.. Perhaps its all to do with the fact that apg really doesn't like Photmatix fused images... but if apg fused images as good as Photomatix, I wouldn't have a need to use it.. I admit I have improved my understanding of the fusion in apg but I still do not like the output.. Its ok'ish, but not great.. and to get it ok'ish, I have to do too much editing of the controls to get the ok'ish results..

are there EXIF tags in the source JPGs?
I had some issues with APG crashing when there where no EFIX in the pics ...

That might be it with apg.. It really doesn't like the lack of the EXIF and since it suggests this data is not there when it imports the images it can cause issues.. However, what has always confused me is.. This data must be there since PTGui picks it up no problems and states what focus was set on the lens, so there must be something there that PTGui pick up but apg cannot.. This was just a straight flat pano using a normal lens with the bubble perfect so it should have stitched it perfectly or almost perfectly.. I used the same lens months ago at a lake scene and had all kinds of issues when trying to stitch the images.. But, these images are not even bracketed.. I had ghosting, blurring and all kinds of missed stitching.. I finally gave up and did it in PTGui.. PTGui did no do a perfect job of this panao either so perhaps I missed something.. There is a little bit of a bump on the back of that rail and another on the other side but hardly noticeable.. .. Easy fixable in Photoshop and I can do that in no time, but the big errors in stitching using app, I wound't waist my time trying to fix them.. It would be too much work and never look perfect.. I will try less images.. apg really doesn't like too much overlap... The fist software I go for when I begin stitching is apg, but unfortunately, often the last software I use is PTGui for the final render.. Its been suggested to me that I might try using the Windows version... I can do this using Bootcamp but that painful, all my other software is Mac.. I am not going away from using Photomiix.. its does a great job of fusion.
I will try it again but this time go back to the time consuming control points editor...

Let's just share with me the input image and I'll see if we can make the workflow more efficient.

Hi Alex.. I have tried sending you files in the past.. but it takes a very long time and they don't get to you.. I would love to have a workflow.. I really need to know what to set my fisheye to and my other normal lens.. I really want to start and finish with apg and use no other software.... There should be no reason why my images do not stitch properly in apg.. .. Its not even a full pano.....
I will try to send them to you.. what do I do.. I forget.. I will zip and send the images to you..
