Hello,
I have an issue with the connection of the shutter cable to the Canon Ds1 Mk2 camera, when connected, the camera losees all functions, it cannot autofocus, cannot meter light and adjust shutter speed/apreture and all buttons are inactive.
The camera actually takes the pictures when commanded by the head/papywizard but if focus or light change it cannot compensate for it is "locked" in the last settings before the connection was made.
If I remove the jack from the panogear head or the RS 80N3 plug from the camera it goes back to normal.
Also when plugged in, the little 'in focus' indicator inside the viewfinder turns on even if the image is out of focus.

Did you check your cable? No short circuit?

Probably, the "Ground" and the "Tip" are in contact somewhere.
For Canon's this cause a continuous contact to the Shutter and then all normal operations of your camera are blocked.
