Feedback Please

Hello Everyone,

I've been doing virtual tours for awhile now but this is one of the first I've done with PTP. I'd like some advice on what more I can do with PTP and perhaps on the panoramas themselves. I use HDRI so commentary on the coloring is welcome. Is it on the money or over the top? Anything is fair game. Love PTP so far by the way!

Re: Feedback Please

Hi Ben..

On the whole I liked the photography, a little bit too vibant but considering the setting, its probaby ok... It has to be appealing and captivating which is is... Really love the house.. oh boy.. I could live there.big_smile. You have some stitching errors which you probably could have fix in apg with some editing.. Also, no way I would use such large hotspot areas.. They look and work terribly.. For the setting, in my opinion, you should have made your own button set and hotspots.. Having large hot areas interfere with the panning..

Some people edit thier images using Adobe Lightroom and go overboard with it.. The problem with that is, it create a kind of shimer sparkel 3D effect to the pano as you pan round.. I thnk as a print image to use Lightroom its better.. its ok to use Lightroom but it has to be used correctly.. It doesn't look like you have used it to any high degree which is good... No simmer.. wink

Overall, I liked your pano's.. but..

1. Tone down the vibrance a tab
2. Get rid of the huge rectangular hotspot areas and replace with nice high quality hotspots..
3. Make up your own button sets..
4. Fix up the noticeable missed stitching

done..cool

Re: Feedback Please

Thank you Destiny. I've always been a sucker for bright colors. I can't help myself but before changing is your monitor calibrated? What type is it? Looking for the stitching error too. Can you be more specific? I've been using hotspots but have gotten tired of them and just wanted to try out the hotspot areas. Does anyone else have opinions on the colors? I have been leaning toward less vibrance but more than the usual.

Best,

Ben

Re: Feedback Please

Hi Ben, I received your email but I will put it here.. If you export your pano as a Cube Face you can fix up the colour vibrance easy.. I realise its the venue.. It has to be vibrant but I feel not so much.. I need a bit of toning down.. You can do this in Photoshop easy. Then import your cubic faces back and its done.. While you are in Photoshop with your cubic faces, you can fix up any stitching eorrors. I have forgotten most of them.. Out on the Mater Suite Balcony above the arched doors is an error.. I noticed that you changed those rectangular hotspots to nice buttons with an arrow.. I found one a long time ago.. I was going to use it.. I have it in my Mac graphics folder... It look nice, much better.. Now, how about you take the buttons out of the graphics folder of your tour and put then into Photoshop and use Colour to change the look of them to a bronze perhaps... Silver just doesn't work.. I have looked again at your colours.. To be honest, I really like them.. Perhaps leave it.. It grows on you.. On the whole I love it all.. One point of concern, the wobbly lines in some of the features, I have seen this before but I really do not know what might be doing it.. I have never gotten them so perhaps its the type of lens you are using.. Or the images have been pulled too much..

Its so easy to be critical of others work but on the whole love it all.. I was looking at it from an outsider.. LIke you said in your email, you can look and look but never find it. There is name for that but cannot remember it.. I have often done the same.. Think it looks fine only to go back to it week later and see faults... BTW, I love the way you have used the Nadir Logo.. Its suble and nice.. This is how it should be done in my opinion.. Some people put a blazing silver ball there. oh man!.. Not nice..

Thank you for showing your work here... I look forward to seeing lots more.. and one day, I might come to that house.. and BUY it.. LOL...
