Alpha mask editor

..Yes, of course, everything written below can be done in photoshop, but... smile

It would be nice to have alpha mask editor built in Autopano.
When adding photos to panorama we can select a photo end draw over it
a invisibility mask with simple tool - box, circle and ofcourse brush tool.

More.. it could be useful when we can copy mask from one photo to another (many).

With this enhancement using photoshop and saving as png24+alpha will be unnecessary.

Re: Alpha mask editor

There are thre reasons for this (at least).

1. remove CPs on clouds, water, etc
2. remove or enhance "ghosts"
3. enhance some element--e.g. often you want the view out of windows to be different than fusion or HDR allows.

Note that with brackets, APG could "auto mask" the blown and underexposed areas on the photos, and allow you to treat the blown areas specially and the underdeveloped areas seperatly.

Re: Alpha mask editor

Yes, I agree, it is very nice in PTGui - but Autopano Pro is faster and easier to use EXCEPT for not having a masking feature.

Re: Alpha mask editor

We had last week the devplan meeting for autopano v3. The main feature is the masking tool integration. But there will be also some other new feature.
I will post some proposal soon in the forum so you can vote for the small feature.
