HI - can use Pano2vr with Panotour pro?

HI-  I'm new user which probably means this is really simple, but hey I've got to start somewhere - i want to put a logo in the base of the 360 but can't seem figure a quick and easy way to do so. Looking at pano2vr it seems easy. I own Panotour pro but would purchasing Pano2vr benefit me (basically can i use both programs???), also the directional screen on pano2vr maps would be an advantage.

Thanks in advance

If your pano image has a field of view (FOV ) of 360x180 then simply use the nadir patch feature - see screenshot -  this option is only displayed for pano images with a FOV of 360x180.

If your pano image currently does not have a 360x180 FOV then create it again and force it to have a FOV of 360x180. If you are using Autopano Pro/Giga and don't know how to do this then just ask.

No, they would not 'co-operate'/ work together.

also the directional screen on pano2vr maps would be an advantage.

I don't know what you are describing when you say 'the directional screen on pano2vr maps'.

Re: HI - can use Pano2vr with Panotour pro?

Thank you, that's worked a treat.

I'm doing FOV of 360x180

I was using this posted on here ..... ''PTP -> export as cube face ... edit the according face in external image editor and than import as cube face again...''
it worked to the point of creating the tour it wouldn't recognise 'First Displayed Panorama' in 'Project Properties' ( i couldn't figure a way of naming the image), this could come in handy for filling in the ceiling.

regarding earlier post - on a map you can see which way the viewer is facing by a cone shape which replicates the 360 view, I've been told that PTP can only do this in the new Beta with google maps?

Thanks again for your reply, great to see an active forum...

The cube face export/re-import is more designed for those instances when yoiu may wiosh to fill in/edit areas of the image using an image editor. The Nadir patch feature is designed for the addition of nadir cap/logo images.

If you don't have image data to cover the full 360x180 you can also choose to limit the FOV when the tour is viewed so that the person viewing cannnot see those areas.

You do this using the Crop tool in the Hotspot Editor panel - see screenshot - the pano image is not actually cropped it is a 'virtual crop'.

That 'cone shape' is called 'radar' and it is available with both the standard Map and Panotour (Google) map features in the latest version (1.6 RC3) of Panotour Pro.

If you are not yet using 1.6 RC3 I recommend you upgrade to that version which is available from the Betas section on this page:
