We are also proposing a new lens distortion improvement to be able to stitch better short focal length rectilinear lenses.

Prior to developping a new version (2.6), you should really spend time in developping a comprehensive documentation for 2.5. As already mentioned in other posts, the central part of 2.5 documentation is the description of the different workflows. Unfortunately, this description is far from being complete.
Furthermore, multiple viewpoint should be documented (I know from the forum that it works together with homography; should be in the doc).
The fact that LDR does not use the exposure values of the EXIF should also be mentioned.
And lot of other things.... I guess.
Documentation is important for the users !!!!

The documentation is complete, but for the moment it's only a reference documentation. You have also access to the complete PDF.
http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/Technical_Support
Now, what many people really want is task oriented documentation : I have to do "something", how will I use the software.
We are under writing of such task oriented documentation too. The first example of such documentation was :
- HDR, how it works : http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/ … w_it_works
- Using Stacks : http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/ … ing_Stacks
There's 5 new tutorials on the way ( French done, English quite finished too ).
And during summer, we'll have a video trainer whose job is dedicated to do a lot of video tutorials.
So, yes, we know, it's still our weakness, but it won't stay that way for really long.
You can already see the reference documentation, which is up to date and complete.

If you need test shots from a Sigma 12-24 on an EOS 5D, please let me know what to shoot (FL, focus distance, aperture, etc)

I already have your a giant nightcare of the Sigma 12-24 from you, if I remember well.

Yes, the focus point in fact matter to get a perfect stitch. That's something I'll show in a tutorial.
