I've been using both Mac trial versions of PT and PTP, and I have a few questions I hope someone will help with.
1) In PT, none of the hotspot sequence options work for the "icon." The "neutral" works, and I get a "button," but not the neutral (sequence)." Same with "info" and "info (sequence)" and so on.
2) I set up three polygon hot spots on one pano and set certain colors as a "visible on hover over" for the the border and fill. I hit the save as default. But when I go to set the properties of the next polygon, none of the colors are saved. How can I get all the polygon hotspots in the tour to match without manually entering the all the info for fill and border for each one. Shouldn't that info be saved as the default?
3) I don't see any .xml file when I save in PT. Is this by design? I see it is present in PTP.
4) I don't see a Progress Bar no matter what options I use. Am I doing something wrong?

Sequence style animated hotspot graphics are working for me with PTP 1.51 32-bit on Windows XP. Are you saying that when you play back the exported tour the hotspot graphics you defined as a 'sequence' type do not animate? If so then which OS and browser are you using to view the tour?

You can multi-select hotspots when setting hotspot properties - that's Ctrl-click on Windows. But I agree with you that it would seem logical for the colour selection to be included when setting defaults, perhaps you should report that as a bug.

You need PTP to make the XML extenally editable/accessible. PT does not offer this capability.
4) I don't see a Progress Bar no matter what options I use. Am I doing something wrong?
PT/PTP do not offer a bar style progress indicator - just the spinning graphic.

Thanks Andrew,
1) I was playing back locally and the "sequence" graphics worked for PTP just fine. But in PT, using the same play back, the sequence was totally missing - Nothing was there and nothing appeared even when hovering where it should have been. I will check to see if playing back off the server makes any difference, but I don't see why it would be different for PT than it was for PTP. I am using Leopard on a Mac with Safari as the default playback.
2) I didn't think of multi-select, I'll give that a try. It sure would save a lot of work.
3) Thought so. ![]()
4) I don't even get the spinning graphic. But I do when using krpano as a stand alone. What is the Progress Bar option for if it isn't offered? - see screen capture below.

It has been my underatnding that when PT/PTP uses the term 'progress bar' it means the spinning graphic.
You may not get it displayed on local playback because the tour loads so fast?
I would like to see that Progress bar feature enhanced so that one could chose from several styles pof progress bar or a custom progress bar - at least in PTP.

Still appreciating the help.
The finished panos are 20-25MB so I still get a spinning icon for a brief time when using krpano alone to convert to Flash. But nothing with PT or PTP. Hmmmmmm???
And I forgot, I can't check for the "Sequencing Icon" while playing back from the server - no license yet. But I had no problem with PTP when selecting the "neutral (sequencing)" - can you think of any reason it doesn't work in PT? - the option is still there.

Yes, I agree I have the same experience with PT 1.51 on Windows XP - the sequence style hostpots are not displayed at all.
This is a bug.

I think it's a bug in PT - unless Kolor did not intend for PT to offer the sequence style hotspots and have forgotten to remove thoise options.
I suggest you report it as a bug.

OK, will do. I have a few more questions, but I'll give you a rest for now.
I'm new to the Forum, so don't know how many others might chime in. Since you also have a Nikkor 10.5mm I thought you might know if it is OK to keep the value of 10mm that AutoPano Giga recognizes and uses to render my panos, or should I over ride it and force a 10.5mm?

I'm happy to try and =answer any more questions you may have.

I've never noticed that nor overidden the value it 'asumes'.
Now you've alerted me to this I see why you ask.
Screenshot 1 - shows the values APG displays for images shot using my Nikkor 10.5mm FE on the D40..
Screenshot 2 - shows the value in the EXIF.
I don't know whyt APG does not display 10.5 nor do I know whether it would be desirable to change/set it to 10.5.
As I recall APG handles fisheye images in a way that merely uses the focal length as a guide rather than as 'gospel'; if that's still the case then I guess it doesn't matter.

Thanks,
I was just curious as I think we are all searching for the optimal results. I could always do both and compare, but I thought I would see if you already knew. I have another question regarding quality. However, as a mod of another forum I know and assume you would wish to have questions isolated in their own topic for order and searching abilities. So I will start a new topic.
