Can This be Right? - Folder size is HUGE

I just did my first beginning tour (one pano) from a licensed PTP, with 4 hotspots. I wanted to create it and make sure it would play on my server before linking to other panos, etc. When doing a similar start of a tour with the trial version, the folder I saved everything in was 23Mb. Now with the licensed version, the folder size is 280Mb. Now I know the licensed software includes iDevices, mobile, etc. - but over ten times larger??? Can this be right? It is all in a folder named 'projectname' data.

What were the pixel dimensions and filesize of that one source pano image?

Does it have a 360x180 pano FOV? If so what

Did you choose to export with 'mobile devices compatibility' selected?

Re: Can This be Right? - Folder size is HUGE

I am not sure of the pixel dimensions etc. But I believe most all the settings were the same for both in reference to any specs that would have increased/decreased file sizes. Same pano, same "compute optimal," FOV, ec. Same saved settings. And yes the mobile device compatibility was checked. But I couldn't believe that would increase the size of the folder by a factor of ten. Does that sound possible?

I'll check more tomorrow, but I thought I would ask now because I was so surprised.

Re: Can This be Right? - Folder size is HUGE

Andrew, I was in error. I did not have the mobile device setting enabled during save. So that makes it even more puzzling.

I thought I may have messed up on jpeg quality. So I checked the difference between using 10 and using 12, and it is only a factor of 4 times.

I'll have to do some more experimentation. I'll check the difference between just using KrPano alone, and see what the differences are.

(FYI - my pano is 12,090 x 6045 (360 x180) saved at the highest quality (12) and when exporting to Flash with APT and PT and PTP it was always under 30MB. Then when using the licensed PGP it balloonned to 280+. That seemed impossible. The cube face computed using the optimal compute at around 3800 pixels. I know that's large, but that seemed to be the same dimensions when using the unlicensed version.)
