Krpanoiphone-license

I've purchased the iphone add-on licenses and added the krpanoiphone.license.js file to the same directory as the krpano.swf and krpanoiphone.js files....but the check box for "Mobile devices compatibility" in the Tour Build tab of Project Properties......still isn't enable.  Any suggestions?

I've read through the instructions at http://www.krpano.com/iphone/  but not finding any other suggestions

I've also tried to move the licenses files hoping PanoTour Pro would ask me to register my license files again...but no luck.  At one time there was a Register menu selection....but for some reason I'm not able to find it again.

Thanks!

Panotour Pro has an embedded licence for the iphone/idevice compatibility capability - you don't need a separate licence.

Pano images must have a 360x180 FOV.

Re: Krpanoiphone-license

Hmmmm.......yes...I had thought that maybe this might be my problem too.  My stitched images are 360 x 134....as my lens is a 10.5mm fisheye lens.  Any idea when this restriction will be addressed....as I think most of us probably have less than 180 FOV.

Thanks for your confirmation!

So are you shooting just a single row of images to make a pano?

What sort of pano head are you using?

You can always force APP/APG to create a pano with 360x180 FOV by setting Preferred projection to Spherical and Preferred extend to Max. projection range (see screenshots).

Of course when viewed there will be black areas, but...

I have no idea when this limitation might be overcome - you'd have to ask Kolor's developers.

Re: Krpanoiphone-license

Cant he just generate 360x180 having the black bars & then limit the top & bottom by using crop tool?

I don't have an iDevice so I can't confirm or deny your suggestion - but I was under the impression that Panotour's virtual crop didn't work for Mobile compatibilty

Re: Krpanoiphone-license

For checking device compatibility we can install safari 5 browser which offers you an ipad/iphone compatibility check but if the virtual crop does not work with mobile then nothing can be done till the issues is resolved.

Re: Krpanoiphone-license

I setup the Preference settings in APG as you suggested by selecting Preferred projection to Spherical and Preferred extend to Max, but when the panoramic is rendered....it still is 360 x 135.  Even checked the settings for the group and it showed the same settings.

You are correct....that I only shoot a single row of photos......6 images using a 10.5 fish eye lens that provide me with 135 degree of vertical view.

Its interesting that the labels  of the two fields says "preference" vs forcing it to the setting?

Any other suggestions other than shooting two rows of pictures to use the Mobile Compatibility features of PanoTour Pro.

Re: Krpanoiphone-license

Just noticed that I had the auto-cropping turned on in APG....with it off....I do get a 360x180 panoramic.

With this image in PanoTour Pro....I am able to enable the mobile compatibility......but if I try to reduce the vertical FOV to 135 (in the Projections tab) the Horizontal values also adjust automatically to limit the 360FOV to 270.  hmmm

So don't - leave it at 360x180.

I realise that I usually set Max. Projection range in the Group settings dialogue.

Which pano head are you using?

If you have a two axis pano head do you have deep rooted objection to shooting a zenith shot, and optional nadir shot as well your 6-around?

Re: Krpanoiphone-license

So can we conclude from this that the mobile compatibility works only with 360x180 images & as of now this is a limitation imposed by krpano iphone viewer?

Re: Krpanoiphone-license

rhadams en others

Got a iphone for testing yesterday. Was able to connect it to the internet so now I can test my tours to see whether they are compatible with iphone's

The tour of rhadams shows up wonderfully in the iphone. My own tours do not. I have checkmarked Mobile devices compatibility and generated http://hanskeesom.xs4all.nl/panoramas/hiswa

However when I show it in the iphone I get a small lego-block with two questionmarks at the side.
Anyone having a different experience? More importanly, anyone having an idea what I am doing wrong still?

I use panotour pro 1.5 64 bits and have license

Thanks ahead for helping me out
