hexacopter

My collegues are just playing on a new project:

using a hexacopter for film and panos:

the copter (without pano part) is ready now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPaoSnaCm2M
(some seconds of sound only during mid of video....)

the copter has a payload of 1.5kg and the panohead will be placed on downside and can be remote controlled on vertical axis (horizontal axis via vopter)
the liveview of the Canon EOS 7d will be wireless transmitted to glasses so you can fly as looking out of the cockpit.... on top of the copter a gps is placed and combined with the remotecontrol so position holding and coming home function is possible.

the project is based finally on:
http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/HexaKopter
(the video shows an sequence shot from flying copter...)

nice weekend,
Georg
