It would really help my workflow if The extended save as could move the .xmp sidecar files to the subfolder along with the images.

Waouh, really not common as a feature.

That's why I was willing to bribe . For those of us using lightroom though when we move the files using extended save as the XML files get left behind but I understand if lightroom isn't common enough.
