Canon Accessory

I am a novice in photography. I just bought a Canon, and the seller told me he is a professional equipment for the Canon. is like this:
http://www.tinydeal.com/canon-px30ne-vb … -5122.html
It can double the capacity of the battery of my camera, and photos can be clearer. true? Is it useful? I want your support, thank you very much

Re: Canon Accessory

the Battery Grip can hold two batteries (at least on a 5D) or use replaceable AA batteries.

It does nothing to make the photos clearer, but it does allow you to hold the camera in portrait mode more easily.  The grip adds weight, so depending on how strong you are, you may get more camera shake if you can't handle the weight, or less because a heavier weight is more stable, and its easier to hold in portrait mode.

I have one, I use it all the time except when my camera is on a panohead.

Re: Canon Accessory

Hi Marielle,

as Hankkarl was saying its to provide for a second battery, its the same for all the grips, but it also help balance the camera better when using bigger lens's.

but do be aware of using 3rd-party products, sometimes the connectors will not ...well, connect, and this can be reallt frustrating.

Also if you are intending to work professsionally, then it will look a bit more intimidating :-) but thats a different story

Balance = stability = less camera shake = sharper images ....i guess in a round about way, you can say in helps with sharper images

Re: Canon Accessory

thanks. I think it is useful for keeping balance between camera's head and body. I'am a girl, maybe I don't have enough strength to keep my camera stable. This tool can help me, so I will buy it. thanks for your help.

Re: Canon Accessory

Just be aware that it adds significantly to the camera weight.   Depending on how strong you are, this may not matter or it may matter a lot.
