View limits

There occasions when I would like to limit the view - for example to prevent the nadir area being viewed.

It is easy to set such limits in Pano2VR.

I know that krpano has the capability of doing this but I have not found this capability to be supported in/via APT.

Have I missed something?

If it's just not there, please consider adding this capability ASAP.

Re: View limits

I remember doing a test sometime ago & only way to limit was to edit the xml files, Its a very basic requirement & should be available in APT.

Re: View limits

This is noted.
But it won't be part of our short term main development.

krpano to fix this for those who want:

Code:

<view ... vlookatmax="value" .../>

where

value = fov/2 - angle_of_nadir

In the case of 360x180 pano : fov=90 and a reasonable value to avoid nadir is 10. So value="35" worked fine for a little nadir hole.

I am disappointed. I feel it should be.

It is implemented in a very intuitive way in Pano2VR.

Re: View limits

this would be great to have as an feature in apt for those who dont need the nadir shot, or dont wanna clamp a logo on the bottom of the image...
