What a beautiful landscape. The ground is really interesting with this kind of light.

With 27 sources images, the level of details probably equals these outstanding perspective and lights.

I'm actually pretty amazed that the right side of the frame actually found some matching points. The pity is that you are pretty much forced to use a wide angle to get these, if you use a "normal" e.g. 50mm you're shooting unmatchable blue sky or moving clouds.
I suppose your Borrego Badlands pano is a 5 x 5 pano (...or about, I'm embarrassed as 27 is a prime number!) and you say it was shot using a 50 mm lens. The topmost row (sky with not any crisp feature) looks more difficult to stitch than the bottom right part of Tim's pano (sea Waves, long shutter times.)
For panos like Tim's one (single row) I would use an accurately leveled tripod.
For such a large sky part like in your multi-row pano, I'm afraid this would not be enough...
(By the way, these are two beautiful panos!)

Not sure if there's a question there. But it is cropped quite a bit... I typically shoot a little more in the bottom as there is a tendency for the corners to get stretched so I give myself a bit more to play with. So it was probably about a 5x5 w/ two more on the bottom or something like that.
Since digital is "free" I typically shoot a lot more than I really need so I am well covered. Compositionally I probably choose the right 2/3s of the images as my final output.
I shot the sky row w/ just a touch of land on the horizon.

FYI I've printed this image horrifically large, 30" x 45" (76cm x 114cm). To put things in perspective, it is nearly the size of a car windshield.
I am speachless at the detail included. Thanks for the development guys! ![]()

I think you made an error in conversion, as 762cm x 1143cm, it's the size of a 3 stock building ...
30" x 45" is 76,2 cm x 114,3 cm.
Anyway, it must be something to see.
