without APT I don't think I'd have never been able to do anything with krpano.
Same with me. But the more i get used to it the more i discover a vast potential!
Especially in fine-tuning tours.

Apparently shot with/from an UAV:

Kite, Balloon, Copter - very well made shot indeed! They have a mast of 17m - but this one is higher . . ![]()

After reading here I came back to Pano2VR. This software offers many possibilities but sometimes happens to upset me because some things don't work. In my example here http://www.spherorama.de/Antimo/ the sound doesn't stop, after one loop and the planar panorama is of poor quality although the Panorama used in Pano2VR was good quality. The interior panorama and the outside panorama in front of the church were made with the "shaved" Samyang.

Andrew,
Red painted hotspots?![]()
:
I noticed the same on one of the other pans you suggested I viewed.
Come off it - methinks you doth protest too much.
I can't believe you are so ossified. If you have an "interest" in either item of software, you should decare it (like Trausti has with Flashificator) for the sake of impartial discussion.

Errrr.... what are you on about now?
I have nothing to do with this aerial pano with the red hot spots. Or any of the others I've cited as examples of tours created with krpano that show custom UIs.
The only 'interest' I have in APT is that I use it and, like others, contribute ideas for features that I would like to see added to it? I also use Pano2VR which I first used before APT existed. But I would like to be able to just use APT.
I am impartial in as much as I have no 'interest' in the sense that you imply (unlike Trausti with Flashificator) in either APT or Pano2VR.
But I'm partial to APT because I feel that krpano is the best of the Flash panorama viewers/players; but I'm not a willing hand coder of XML so I want APT to evolve into the definitive GUI front-end/XML generator for krpano.

OK Andrew,
I think we've reached some sort of accord.
So long as every one appreciates that both programs have their good and bad points.
It's now up to both developers to get their software improved as quickly as they can and produce the market leader.

Hallo Klaus

Bonjour Klaus
Just bought Giga and new into this forum.. since I am watching your jobs and well done ;-)
May I ask you a link or tips to improve my NADIR now with AutoPanoTour because I used to stich my images with real stitcher but the process is too long, especially with the NADIR... you can see the way I am building my virtual Tour: http://www.thierrydehove.com/category/t … me-vr-360/
I do know, my process is too long, that's why I bought this Giga
Thanks a lot in advance for your time
have a great sunday, Thierry

Hi Thierry!
You show a very fine and sensitive feeling for HDR and for visualizing rooms!
I like that.
When i use the Merlin i often don´t shoot a Nadir. I close the hole in Photoshop.
But i tested a rig of a tilt-head under the Merlin - it tilts 90° and because of the Merlin´s height the camera looks downwards about 30cm beneath the tripod. Then you just set the tripod 30cm aside and you can shoot a Nadir without problems even using long exposure you can´t use handheld (a little extra weight should be fixed at the opposite tripod-leg).
best, Klaus
