image software that can handle > 2Gigabyte .tiff 16bit files?

during tests on a 42 images pano I got stuck at the following point:

I could successfully stitch the pano and exported it to a .tiff 16 bit file.
its 2gig in filesize. And my currentyl used image software for postprocessing fails to open it
(it can be opend by windows images viewer, so I asume the tif itself is ok, windows thumbs preview also works...)

any idea which software can open the tiff for postprocessing (removing remaining dust corns from an very ugly dirt used lens - my shame - will never forget to check it first before switching the cam on ;-( )

(I know - I'm aware this question may be asked several times in past. But to be honest - I can't tweak the forums search function to give me the results....)

I want the uncompressed tiff format because I plan to convert it to cubeslizes with krpano so I can do corrections on the  nadir.

win 7 prof 64bit using with 8gig ram

many thanks in advance,
Georg

Photoshop - should do the job

2Gb isn't particular large. but u could have not used TIFF with large file size support, even thought I thought it would do atleast 4gb, try photoshop PSB format

I exported from APG choosing the option TIFF+16bit+no compression+72dpi
I failed opening the tiff with newest gimp version and
also failed with Canons DPP (delivered with Canon by default)

and any freeware used in the wild which can handle >2gig filesize tiffs in practice?

thnanks in advance,
Georg

GIMP 2.6.8 experimental 64 bit version can open >2gig .tiff file (output of APG). It converts to 8bit ;-(
so ...

which else possible freeware programs (windows) can handle >2gig 16bit .tiffs from APG output...

Liebe Gruesse,
Georg

EDIT:
PhotoLine http://www.pl32.de/ for 60€ seems to be a fair price.
my 2gig 16bit tiff was opened within 6 seconds while 4 seti clients were stressing my quadcore ;-)
version 15 and since 1995 on market... any good/bad stories to tell about this software?
