Export from Adobe Lightroom

Would be great to have an export module from Adobe Lightroom in the same way as Photomatix Pro does ( www.hdrsoft.com ) . There the export module has an option to re-import the processed HDR image back into the same spot in Lightroom for post processing in LR. This would greatly enhance the functionality of Autopano since it will make the library and image enhancement workflow so much easier. Since LR offers an open SDK I suppose you programmers could put this together in no-time ? Please :-)

Re: Export from Adobe Lightroom

Hi,

It would be really great to be able to select some images in Lightroom, click "export to APP" and then have those exported images appear  in APP's left panel as a group.
Select a new series of images in LR, click "export to APP" and have another group appear in APP. And so on...
This feature would accelerate my workflow considerably...

Ciao,

Miska

Re: Export from Adobe Lightroom

I actually found that I can set the export module within Lightroom to export to APP , but what happens then is that for each image a new group is created. Not soo handy, so please again, look into this fairly simple matter ( fairly simple for someone who created a sensational tool like APP that is :-) )

Re: Export from Adobe Lightroom

I agree with the above sentiments.  If there was a plugin for APP in lightroom, that would be fantastic!

Re: Export from Adobe Lightroom

DxO Optics Pro 6 show several approaches to working with Lightroom see

http://www.dxo.com/us/photo/dxo_optics_ … lightroom2

Their second scenarios illustrates the problem with linking via the edit option as this process tries to return a file to LR, which would not work with multiple files that are to be combined into a pano.

A better approach would be through a plugin like those at http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies

Re: Export from Adobe Lightroom

Thanks for the links , especially the link to dxo is a ( new ) very interesting one. I have contacted Regex/ Friedl regarding a autopano export module but got no response.

Re: Export from Adobe Lightroom

I am able to set up autopano as an external editor and when I do, the images appear as a single group. There was a previous thread where somebody else was having trouble with this and I'm not sure we figured out why, but it works for me.

Re: Export from Adobe Lightroom

Images open correctly as groups of images on PC but as individual images on the Mac - that was reported in another thread.

Re: Export from Adobe Lightroom

Since this request is becoming of age without a useful response by the clever makers of Autopano we may wonder if they are having a long break or so .... maybe the PR generated by the several inspiring gigapan session makes them think that they can ignore a minority ??

You know what we were doing since 8 months : working on the new rendering engine. This task is quite finished now.
So, we'll soon start to work again on feature request.

Note : We already have a plan for Lightroom, Aperture, Bibble and Picassa plugin support. This project is fully documentated and we are waiting for the feedback of a partner to see if it possible quickly or not.

Re: Export from Adobe Lightroom

We all know you must work hard with such a genius software as this your sensational pano box of tricks , but it can become frustrating if we have to wait so long for a simple all explaining answer like this , thanks for it anyway !! Now we are all LOOKING FORWAAAAAAARD :-)

The key is communication , knowing that a train is coming is easier to accept than wondering if the train is really on its way.
