Time-Lapse stitching

I know there have been some tests to stitch video with APP server.

May it be possible to let APP stitch time-lapse ? 2-4 shots pr frame. Maybe as a special version or plugin ?

A time-lapse shot will have fixed camera positions so its not necessary to compute cp`s for all frames, just once. Imagine a two camera setup like with DrClauss rig on Paris 20 giga shot. If its possible to render a full sequence of images with exactly the same settings then it will give value to the time-lapse community, cause you might use 2.000 $ cameras to do shots you usually would need a 20.000+ $ cameras to do.

I believe a business model with a rather expensive plugin might give nice ROI on the hours of coding needed to accomplish it. The big question though, is if the rendering is consistence enough to avoid flickering in light and colors.

APP Pro at 199$ + plugin priced at 199$ should still be attractive for time-lapse photographers wanting to shoot imax quality. The larger shots, the more flexibility in zoom and pan in postproduction, so if its possible, the product will give enough value to make business. If it may stitch flicker free output, "everybody" would like a copy.

It might be done cheaper with panotools scripting, but I believe its APP color rendering that makes it possible. However I dont know if the color rendering will be consistent enough from frame to frame.

Something to consider when making the new render system ?
