Re: [papywizard v2] Annoncement, feedback, bug report

Ok, Windows package is online; you may see that some buttons are not translated. This is because I have to find how Windows deals with Qt default translation files... I would like to avoid embedding them in Papywizard, as the package is already big!

OK - I had forgotten that I had disabled the Maemo extras devel catalogue when installing Canola 2.

PW1.9.5 is now loading OK on the N800.

It seems there is a problem when opening the shooting dialog: pictures are not correct (size and position). Can you confirm?

Not sure what you mean - do you have a screenshot to show the alleged problem?

Re: [papywizard v2] Annoncement, feedback, bug report

No, as it now works (after rebooting). Strange...

But I found (and fixed) another nasty bug: once connected to the hardware (and even if you disconnect), the position is not refreshed anymore. In fact, it is, but the delay is in seconds instead of milli-seconds! The consequence is that when you shutdown the app, you have to wait the end of this wrong delay: 500s instead of 0.5s if connected, and 100s instead of 0.1s in simulation mode cool

Because I had to use a Qt network sockets instead of python standard ones in order to make them run in Qt threads... This is used to publish the head position, so it can be refreshed in the 3D view.

Re: [papywizard v2] Annoncement, feedback, bug report

Frederic,

Could we have a user configurable option to choose whether or not to start a new XML file with each shoot (or repetition) or instead to add new data to the same file?

Re: [papywizard v2] Annoncement, feedback, bug report

I think I can easily use the same xml data file for repeated panos, but it will be more difficult to manage when starting a new shooting sequence (either restarting the shooting dialog or not), because some parameters can be changed, and so, the xml data file ehader won't match anymore.

BTW, why do you want to use the same data file? Another simpler solution is to make a xslt transformation to merge serveral xml files. I can do that.

Re: [papywizard v2] Annoncement, feedback, bug report

I think I may have uncovered a bug in 1.9.6 under Windows.

If the Bluetooth connection or serial connection is not configured correctly the attempting to connect will hang the program while 'Connecting to real hardware' is displayed in the status line with no error message and the only way out seems to be to close the program.

Why use the same data file - I was thinking of manual exposure and focus bracketing, changing the settings after each shoot, but wishing to submit all the images to APP/APG with one XML file.

While I'm still thinking about it youyr first comment about being able to use the same data file for each repeat of repeated panos would work for this BUT only if there was an option to have a pause at the end of each of the shoots in the repeat with a manual restart for next repeat - if you see what I mean?

Windows 2000 Papywizard 1.9.7-1

Just noticed  bug that I've not spotted previously.

If you click the button to get to the Config tab to enable data file from the Shooting window you cannot edit the textboxes.
