Is this a Merlin/Orion uinit?

Hello,

on eBay I aw a unit which, as far as I can tell, looks like the Merlin/Orion. Does anyone know if this thing is an alternative?

It is not a Merlin.

And as both axis are not in line it is no alternative.

Re: Is this a Merlin/Orion uinit?

Paul, are you sure it can't be used? We need a picture taken behind the arm, to see if the axes cross or not. But if it is the case, it is better than the Merlin, as there is much more space  to mount a big camera or lens...

We need to find a complete documentation of this head...

looking on the CE-label you see that the arm is cranked backwards
similar to the Celestron Goto mounts

also I don't see more horizontal clearance sad
