Frederic has put the latest dev. release of Papywizard 1.5.6f-1 on the Trac Papywizard Wiki for Nokia Tablets and for Windows:
http://trac.gbiloba.org/papywizard/#Dev … entversion
He hopes this will be the last development version before the imminent release of the 1.6.0-1 stable version.
1.6.0-1 will be the last version of Papywizard before a radically redeveloped V2.x which will be some time in development and which will NOT run on the Nokia 770 Tablet.
So this is our last chance to report bugs or request changes to the 1.x branch of Papywizard software development.
Please report both the successful running of the software on your platform, and any bugs/faults encountered.
In particular, in you run 1.5.6f-1 on a Nokia 770 please check that the File menu is operational.

Hi Claude,
Thank you for your report.
So it is not just me who has the File menu crash on the 770.
Here's a summary of the results of my testing on various platforms all for UK English.

Uninstall messages are in French.
..............
Papywizard 1.5.6f-1 + Windows XP Pro SP3 + Bluenext USB Bluetooth adapter BN-01 + Dell GX270
Works fine.
Uninstall messages are in French.
..............
Papywizard 1.5.6f-1 + Nokia 770 OS2007HE version: 4.2008.7-1
Works fine EXCEPT File menu causes program to crash.
.............
Papywizard 1.5.6f-1 + Nokia N800 OS2008 version: 5.2008.43-7
Works fine EXCEPT Credits and Licence buttons in About dialogue don't work but cause About dialogue to close.

Maybe a bit late but I overlooked the "file menu" function in 1.4.0 because the programm starts up FullScreen and I'm still not that used to the Nokia system :-(
But I can report that the file menu also crashes 1.4.0 at the 770.
So it's in the older version allready.

Frank,
Thanks for the report about the File menu crash in 1.4.0-1 on your 770.
Wiill you try 1.5.6f-1? It all works on my 770 except for the File menu. So no differemt from 1.4.0-1 in that respect and other things are nicer.
You can install 1.5.6f-1 over the top of 1.4.0-1 using the link on the Wiki:
http://trac.gbiloba.org/papywizard/#Dev … entversion
It is easy to go back to 1.4.0-1 is you wish - just uninstall 1.5.6f-1 from the Application Manager and then re-install 1.4.0-1 from the link on the Wiki:
http://trac.gbiloba.org/papywizard/#Stableversion

Very strange, because I'm sure it was working on my 770 (before it broke). And it does work too on Paul's 770!

I thought it worked way back on my 770 too - now I begin to wonder whether my memory is at fault. It certainly doesn't work now after I re-flashed my 770 and re-installed 1.4.0-1 yesteday.
Perhaps Paul can confirm again that File menu does not crash with 1.5.6f-1 on his 770.
Then maybe we can take a deeper look at his system configuration to determine how it is different from mine, and Claude's and Frank's.

again:
Yes, on my N770 1.5.6f runs without any problem, OS2007HE 4.2008.7-1, MMC2GB, 64MB virtual mem, Theme Danjon

Could you all please test the 1.5.6g release? I removed the Ctrl-q shortcut from the File > Exit menu item (I'm trying all ideas)...

I installed 1.5.6g-1 over the top of the 1.4.0-1 install I did yesterday after the re-flash of OS2007HE on my 770.
And guess what....the File menu works now.![]()
Looks like you have cracked it.

With your 770 just browse to this URL - or do a Google search for 'trac papywizard' and choose appropriate link there - and click on the approriate link for 1.5.6g-1 for Nokia:
http://trac.gbiloba.org/papywizard/#Dev … entversion
Thereafter the system will take you through install process - it is simple. Just click 'OK' when asked.
Be patient it can take a while for install dialogue to come up aftre Application Manager loads after clicking the link.

I will generate again the shortcut, to see it is really the problem...

Glad it is all working.
No, there is no need for you to try 'h'.

I guess that's the weakest point of the N770
Yes, be patient, it looked the N770 freezes after clicking the downloadlink so I had to do it twice...
One PPW crash from now: editing the mosaic tab, but again, this can be my fault, clicking to fast.

I don't think this is your fault... Such crash should not happen...

Paul, it seems that your maemo version does not suffer from this bug... Did you ever have it, in the past?
I uploaded a 'i' release, which should also work for everybody. Please confirm, and I will don't touch the glade file anymore...
