Hi, I've posted this pano here before and took another shot at it yesterday. I've created two projections, one planar and one spherical.
Please tell me witch one you prefer.
Pano Devil's Point, Scotland: 7 images handheld, sigma 30mm
First planar, second spherical...
Thanks,

Ronald there is a bit of magenta in your whites…
Just try the auto white balance in your favorite picture editor and a bit of contrast ![]()

I like the spherical projection too.

I would like to see a Mercator version (whether there would be a significant difference or not depends on panorama FOV.)

I have tried the Mercator projection this evening but there was no significant difference. The vertical VOF is about 50º. In the planar projection the mountain on the left looks more massive but the edges get stretched in this projection...
White balance is very critical with snow and very hard to get right. I've picked a WB that looks good on the snow, good on the rocks and good on the clouds. It looks fine on my profiled Apple 23" cinema display.
Unfortunately these images were shot in JPG so there isn't to much room to play with in Adobe Camera RAW.
